    Hi all,

Cambridge United fan here in peace.

I'm always looking out for your results this season as you captured our jewel in the crown Luke Berry in the pre-season. We were gutted to lose him, we still haven't filled his position as we'd like to. He was superb last season, the best midfielder in the conference last year, good at getting stuck in, winning the ball back and always looking to get the ball moving forward. Scored quite a few goals too.

I see that he's started most games. How's he doing?

He splits opinion massively. Some think he's a fantastic prospect, some have written him off already.

I'm on the side where he looks like a very promising young talent. He's been playing on the wing the majority of the season where he doesn't look comfortable at all. Stood out for me when he did actually play in central midfield in a JPT game against York.

I think he could just be a bit part player this season and hopefully he'll get his chance to play in the centre of the park more often as he does look a very good player. See the views of 4-4-2, a Rochdale fan, on what he made of Berry today.

He played very well today. As with most of our players this season he's had his ups and his downs. Done reasonably well considering he's played out of position for much of it.

I've been very impressed by what I've seen so far. Been asked to play out on the right hand side mostly which I guess isn't his natural position, but I really like the way he plays. Is excellent in posession - always retains the ball and generally finds a good forward pass. Not seen much in the creating chances or goal scoring yet - but think that;s because he's been playing more of a supporting role. Sounds like he had another good game today - I'm of the opinion that he's one of the best signings we made this summer.

I'm surprised he's on the wing for you, he's not a natural winger. He's superb in the centre of the park.

For those who don't like him - I bet you'll be a fan of his by the end of the season.

I'm one of those who still remain to be convinced.

He got stuck in today and did well.

I hope he settles and ends up being good enough.

No evidence of any goal threat though.

I have no real opinions on Wilson as a manager, but if he's played Berry on the right he needs to come out and say he was completely wrong. Crazy. As natural a central midfielder as you're likely to see.

Steve Parkin used to do it a lot at Dale. So infuriating.

I like him and don't see where the doubters are coming from. He's not had the impact of Hourihane for instance but he's very neat and tidy, looks comfortable in possession and very rarely gives it away. He's probably so efficient his constant good work goes unnoticed. Kind of like Danny himself when he was at his best.

Looks a fantastic signing to me. Admittedly not the finished article at the minute and has struggled on the wing and looks more confident in the centre the problem being that Hourihane is a similar player with a little more experience in that position. I think by Christmas he will have settled in properly and we will see the best of him.

Like others have said, he has looked lost on many occasions so far this season, but my MOTM by a mile today. Hopefully he'll get a run in the middle and the confidence will take him up to the next level, because on today's performance we have a decent player our hands.

Must be awkward for you, losing your best player to a team like us, particularly when we play him out of position and are a bit indifferent towards him, but trust me, we're not much higher than you in the food chain and the same thing regularly happens to us, so if he does go on a great run of form it won't be long before we lose him too!

He's suffered a bit because Jennings & Noble-Lazarus look like they've spent the summer pumping weights & can't run anymore & Treacy looks like he's spent the summer eating cakes & drinking Guiness meaning he's ended up playing right wing by default as much as anything else.

I think he's done fairly well & that a midfield 3 of Bailey sitting with Hourihane & Berry in front of him is the way forward

Ramage was our man of match today in my opinion. Berry a close second.

Agree.. But we've been playing 2 in centre mid most of the time. Get the impression Wilson thinks we need a ball winner in the centre alongside Hourihane and I don't think he sees Berry as that type of player. Difficult to tell based on what I've seen but I'd probably agree that Berry and Hourihane might be a bit lightweight as a 2. Sounds like they found a way to get Berry, Hourihane and Bailey together in the centre today though.

Yep, Danny's had little option but to play him wide, considering the state of our wingers. But the best compliment for Luke would be the results we've suffered when he's not played, and the points gained when he has. The outstanding player today.

Last 30 seconds of the game today, Dawson finds a bit of space, 25 yards from goal, a touch to the right hand side. The script had been written, you can see him thinking "this is my moment" and he prepares to hit one with venom... when Berry comes from nowhere and slides in, the ball with force repelled by Berry's outstretched foot and the ball joined me in the stands.

    Summed him up today.

Everywhere. Perfect. Faultless. Best individual display of the season, in my opinion.
