Couldnt make today or listen as was working but reading rochdale forum we played hoof ball and took a crap following true or sour grapes
Well, we had the seven clearest chances - goal, penalty, save by keeper from rasping shot in first half, two Cole one on ones in first half and two Winnall sitters after Cole runs in the second. Maybe the reference to hoofball was that with Ramage our defending for once was no-nonsense and that was a good thing. Can't remember Crossley having anything threatening to deal with really. As for the crowd, there were three more disappointing sides to the ground than the one we were in! Not bothered about the taste of their grapes - my bottle of red is tasting great with the three points in it!
We had a third of the crowd after a dreadful run of games, I can't wait for their 3,000 plus at Oakwell
Good summary from Exile. Our following was disappointing numbers-wise but that was to be expected given our wretched start to the season, but we more than made up for it with noise.
Why do people care so much about followings? Why does anyone give a ****? Just go & enjoy the game, what's it matter who else is there? Reminds me of all the daft Owls & Blades when I used to listen praise or grumble
I'm not sure about the remark about hoof ball? I've not seen any posts referring to that! You didn't pass the ball very well and cleared your lines when we managed to get near to your box but away from home and on a bad run that's nowt to be fussed about. We had an off day in front of goal and you headed in a corner to win it. These things happen.
I was there, my dad was there, that's what mattered in the end yes. But I do enjoy being in a full away end. As I said though, more than made up for that vocal-wise and 1400 odd is still a decent amount. I'd like to think those that stayed away today will go to the next away game now.
