Crashed into and under a JCB which was lifting another crashed car. Bianchi taken to hospital unconcious by ambulance as the weather was too bad for the air ambulance. Seen a few pictures of the car and its in a terrivle state. The headrest is in half.

Could be bad for the FIA as they knew the race weather was going to be dangerous and could have raced earlier in the day but at the last minute decided not to as the sponsor/organiser honda didnt want it. I always thought racing with no air ambulance was a big no no too. Sure ive seen races delayed or stopped because of it. In fact one was stopped in the last couple of years when they accidentally sent the wrong helicopter to the track and it wasnt the ambulance one.

To be fair ive seen a lot worse conditions then that.. its just unlucky that he went off at the same point of the previous driver. Its like all the races said it wasnt bad at all! I just hope he is ok!

Being operated on now for an head imjury. Also must say that the helicopter WAS available but for medical reasons a road ambulance was chosen as the best method of transport

Did it show the crash mate? It's just the BBC are being a bit sketchy on the details and wouldn't confirm if he hit the crane.

There's not much consistency in how they run the races in bad weather - even when the cars were behind the safety car at the beginning you couldn't see up the track due to the spray so I was very surprised when the safety car came in. They've kept the SC out for a lot longer in much better weather at other races.

That being said it didn't look like anyone was struggling at full speed, few running wide but you always get that. I've watched F1 since the late 80's and I must admit there are more boring races than good ones, the ones with changeable weather seem to be the best but I suppose, like today, you're always on the edge of what can be considered safe.

Hope Bianchi pulls through, very worrying when it's a head injury.

No they didnt. In fact the commentary teams on both sky and the bbc didnt know what had happened for a long time.

Perez crashed and was shown. A couple of laps later it cut to the scene again where nothing really seemed odd or at least not to the commentators however I noticed something wasnt right as the truck had the car in the air but wasnt moving and in the background a couple of stewards were raising their hands callingbfor assistance. In the very background you can just make out a bit of dust rising so I think he had slid in seconds earlier. Anyway it cuts back to the race and almost straight away the safety car and medical car comes out and they speculated about perez being injured until they show him standing watching so they assumed a steward had been hit by the truck. After a few more laps they realised bianchi had retired then saw part of his car and realised he was involved but still didnt know what happened exactly.

It wasnt till after the race was stopped that more info came out.

Ps ive just seen a photo of him still in the car and the entire roll bar section is missing with the only thing higher than the side pods being his head so hes definitely gone under the truck leaving the top half of the car left on one side and the bottom half on the other side.
