Absolute arseholes tonight. They we're having a go at us and some others on the back row for standing, so everyone started singing 'stand up for the barnsley!'
It took 4 of them to throw 1 Barnsley fan out just before half time, they bullied him to fck we asked to see the main culprits badge number but he moved it out of view and walked away. He then walked back giving it the big 1. He was the 1 in with leather gloves and the tattoo on his neck wearing walkie talkie 31
I'll add Oldham to the ever growing list of clubs whos stewards bully our little angels. Must have got enough clubs on the list now to start a breakaway league consisting only of teams whos stewards are mean to us. Dont worry, it will include Barnsley. They bully the little lambs in the top corner of the ponty end too.
Its strange really because a couple of them same stewards approached me and my young lad and asked if he wanted to go pitchside before kick off and meet the players before the match. Got to sit in the managers dugout and had his picture with crainie aswell. Just to add a bit of balance though, i did notice a few stewards constantly having words a group of lads at half time. Having said that they probably got fed up after the 18th time of telling them it was a no smoking stadium, while following them in and out of the lavs making sure they didn't light up in there either, while all the time getting **** loads of abuse for enforcing the club's rules .
I appreciate that they have a job to do but after threatening to kick a bloke out one of the stewards walked away giving it a 'come on' gesture to the bloke even after a lady had diffused the situation & walked him away, when we asked him for his SIA number (which I believe he has to by law give upon request) he turned his armband round so it couldn't be seen & said to my mate "If you've got a problem, lets take it outside". Aye, good stewarding that isn't it?
How bad must a jumped up Hitler be? I mean Hitler was an absolute b*st*rd but to be jumped up as well....fecking hell!
We can't have stewards like Fleetwood every week. Asking how the journey was to get there, wishing a safe journey home, asking how we've been playing recently and what players to watch for etc. Just like having a neutral in your stand and no bother all game. Makes a change to hearing 'get a proper job' sung at them at most away games.
Its funny because thats exactly how stewards treat me all the time. But then I dont instantly assume theyre the enemy and slur my words shouting stuff at or near them and getting in their face like a drunken knobhead like a lot at away games do.
i have a unique solution to this----- why dont people just behave outrageous request i grant you but it may work hopethishelps
