Does anyone think we'd have been better off getting relegated with Hill?

I was never his biggest fan, but we used to try play football under him. im not sure what we try now. we're devoid of any of football. I think we have decent players, but we're just terrible to watch, most of the time. Wilson averages one win a month since he's been in charge. im not one for saying sack managers straight away, but I never wanted Wilson in the first place

I like Wilson but I've always preferred hill, we played good football. Must admit but this football where watching is painful and frustrating to watch. Really hope we progress but just can't see it.

Hill is a very good coach and football manager. Personally I liked him and could see what he was trying to do. However he'd lost his way by the time he was sacked and had to go. He was also never really compatible with BFC supporters. If we'd have been relegated he never would have stayed. So no we wouldnt have been better off.

You mean statistically the worst ever Barnsley FC manager?

    No thanks.

Hill is one of the worst things to have happened to BFC in years. We'd have been better off if he'd never signed on the dotted line.

I'm not going there anymore, mate. I got closure on Saturday. His Dale side were very reminiscent of us circa 2012, losing 1-0 at home to a set piece, dominating the game 'allegedly'. So as much as I recall and enjoyed other parts of his reign here, I've now come to remember why it ended, and why I was on here in his final hour saying he had to ******* go.

    Good luck to him/Dale.

Like I said he lost his way and had to go. He's not a bad manager though.

Well I hope he proves me wrong and he still might do that yet. Maybe he's still working out his best team and how to play them. A 25% win ratio doesn't endear me to him though. Coupled with a lack of football. Unless I'm supposed to like him for what he did 17 year ago

Regardless of how this spell pans out ALL BFC fans should like him for what he gave us.

That's not to say he's beyond reproach as he clearly isn't and won't be beyond the chop. I just hope he gets a good amount of time

Wiseman to McNulty, square ball, McNulty back to Wiseman, square ball, Wiseman back to McNulty, McNulty falls over the ball, other team score. The abiding memory of three-quarters of the Hill era's style of play.

I don't think it will ever happen again. Those memories will stay with us forever....

But, DW has never denied us of our desire to dream. That is all that Hill ever did...

Each to their own, pal. I like him for what he achieved in the 90's with us.

His current tenure hasn't been much cop so far, but I don't tend to judge managers until they've built their own squad and then managed it. So I'm not too arsed about last season. We're bang average this season, but we're not even a quarter of the way in, so there's time for it to come good/go ****. Suppose time will tell.
