How many of their attacks came through the middle? Zero. Therefore he did his job. Their threat was down the flanks, not the middle.

Would say every player in red gave the ball away at least once, as often happens.

Once or twice maybe. But he kept things simple and competed in the middle, thus allowing the front five to play. That's his job. In previous games we've had the opposition pouring through our midfield. Today they didn't do that. He did his job.

He gave the ball away on 2 occasions in particular in 2nd half. They scored from both.

Thought Digby was decent in the first half before fading in the second. He was no worse than at least half a dozen others though. The lad needs games to get match sharpness but somehow I doubt he'll get them.

Poor game, no excuses. I will have nightmares of when in the second half he had a good five yard start on their player to get the ball and still easily got beat in the race to it. Didn't take his chance at all and Abbott should have been ahead of him in the pecking order anyway. Bailey has nothing to worry about competition wise.

I thought Digby was woefully slow but I wouldn't blame him for us loosing, the strikers missing chance after chance and Crainie organising the defence is why we lost.

He did alright. Not to blame for that whatsoever.

Is Digby usually such a slow player? He really did seem to be struggling to get to balls that he should have beaten a man to

Made a few decent passes, including one great ball over the top to Hourihane (or maybe someone else)

Didn't look out of his depth in terms of technique, but just didn't seem able to keep up

Played really well first half for me. Went missing second half. He's young, it happens. Difficult role that sat in front of the defence, but looked brilliant in it first half. Not so second half, but there were far more experienced players who had worse games.

That's not what Danny thinks. Quote "We've just not been able to compete with one ball that's come down the middle on three or four occasions and they've resulted in goals.

He had a poor game IMO. Slow to react to situations, seems to dawdle often, lost possession twice which lead to us conceding. He's got good technique but just doesn't look ready for misters football, which is surprising given his size.

    Biggest problem was Nyatanga.

I've seen people blame Digby for heading the ball out before the 2nd but Nyatanga has to do better with the cross. We had plenty of men back & had time to set ourselves.

With the 3rd it was a horrendous ball infield by Nyatanga. You can blame Digby all you want but he was outpaced by a quick lad, the ball should never have been played for me.

He did well 1st half & faded 2nd half, looked quite good on the ball.

We aren't helped with Hourihane & Williams joining in with every attack & not getting back into position quick enough at times
