I'm not blaming him at all, just commenting on his performance. Plenty of others could have prevented goals being scored after his mistakes. Agree about Nyatanga, poor game from a poor player. Never rated him even during his last spell with us. Lumbering would be the one word I'd use to describe him.
I thought both Digby & Nyatanga were poor last night. What has Dudgeon done wrong? Digby looked very rusty but didn't help himself either. Why does he insist on letting the ball run past him only to run into opposition players? He should be taken a booking aswell when he chased the lad down the east stand side but in the end just gave up. Bailey will be laughing as he has no competition wotsoever.
Like rest of the team I thought Digby did well first half... And like team mates switched off in second half. Positives dictated play, outstanding long sprayed passes, he got stuck in made a few tackles and covered some ground... Negatives, the positives all happened in first half. He ran out of steam in the second, made bad decisions and fecked up simple passes. And lost possession. In summary, clearly not match fit. Good first, rank second half display.
Were you at the same game. He must be the slowest 19-20 year old i have ever seen If he hasnt got 3 minutes to do something with the ball he just loses the bloody thing
The whole team is not fit and Digby personified this. Thought he did most stuff well but ran out of steam, like team.
Agreed. His 'pass' to Digby was atrocious and put him in all sorts of trouble. Don't get me wrong, Digby was caught on his heels far too often for me, not good practice for any footballer, but that goal alone was brought on by a Nyatanga horror pass.
Digby looks a carthorse tbh. May improve with a run of games but doesn't deserve one and he looks totally paceless.......about as fast as a maingate belt. Hth
Whitey I was there last night and trust me he needs time on a treadmill getting fit before we even think about putting him in the team He's 19 or 20 ffs if he can't stay fit now he's no chance when he's older Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
No excuse for Digby or any professional footballer not being fit. We are losing out every week. My nephew's gone to Catterick for 3 days for his para intro course take em all on that I say!!!
If we give him a run of games were gonna lose a lot of games. He was bad last night, Whitey. I want our own to make it as much as anyone, but I just can't see it.
Well the first goal was clearly at the feet of Ramage of Crainie and I don't see how you could blame Digby for it..
We were losing games without him in the side. He needs a run of games. You don't become mobile, sharp, up to speed by getting the odd game every other month, which has been the case for both Digby and RNL now for years. He wasn't great you say, last night. So what? We drop him for two months again? RNL was given stick on here in his one match this season. Not been seen since. Yet we'll persist in giving Jennings, Treacy, Brown and other underperformers chance after chance. The loanee lad, Williams, he gave Posh a goal on Saturday but I didn't see threads about him like I am doing now with Digby... and in that cup game with RNL. This year was supposed to be about laying foundations, rebuilding, using lots of our own young lads. Yet the supporters want em out after one game. Even Bree had threads digging him out last night. No wonder Danny is loathe to give em a proper run. He's probably fearing for his job. Just like Flicker, Keith and Robins. Hence the panic loans...
1st one I agree. Second one if Turnbull had taken like two steps forward and grabbed the ball it wouldn't have been headed in from baby range. Third he conceeded his second of the night from inside his own six yard box, but Brown didn't help matters with his lack of a tackle.
