And neither did you. Not sure what it is that caused to you post that inane response, mind. I gave my thoughts on Digby. I wasn't discussing a game I didn't attend. But aye, you carry on proving to all and sundry that you've the nous of an amoeba.
Ok then. Normal loans. But still used to fill gaps etc. Just as the last three managers did. Because they either didn't back the kids, or were scared to throw them in fearing for their job. And I don't blame them in hindsight.
Whitey i never said i want him out of the game. But yesterdays performance just wasn't good enough. He gave the ball away numerous times and couldnt keep up with play. If he just wasn't match fit i can understand but he's just not FIT at all I know you didn't go so hard for you to understand but honestly whitey he wasn't good enough mate
He doesnt look mobile enough for a midfield player to me dont want to write him off obviously but his first touch and movement when closed down just isnt quick enough, its that long since he broke onto the scene, I cant remember if that was the case previously or if the injury has took its toll. I hope for his sake its just match fitness he's lacking, cos if not he's going to need to find another career before long.
At present? I'm not sure. I would imagine Smith will soon come into the reckoning now he's fit. But if he has a poor first game I hope he's not given the Digby/RNL treatment on here and then banished into the ether. I think Cowgill is worth throwing in if indeed we're persisting in Nyatanga, M'Voto or Cranie at centre half who in my opinion are all **** and will be gone next summer. I clearly rate RNL and would like to see him involved before Treacy.
I've seen him before, mate. He's rarely impressed me and in all honesty I saw an u21's game recently and he was just as you're describing him in that too. But he's 19. The coaching staff at the club rate him very highly. As do the England setup. So I do think that with proper competitive football over a prolonged period he'll come good. If that has to be out on loan then so be it. But rotting away playing 21's games isn't the answer. Same goes for RNL. Footballers not playing football. Don't get it. As an aside, I'd have played Abbott last night but there you go..
Does RNL have the mental strength to play? I'd ask the same about all of our young un's... Agree re Smith, he was going to be first choice LB this season
We aren't talking about him, but regardless of his clear lack of shape, he can beat a man and does look a threat. Can we say the same re those he is ahead of?
I've seen nothing of note from Treacy this season. And we're talking about an international player here with some experience and pedigree. How long will it take him to get fit and up to speed? He has no competition, by the way. Williams is being played central. Jennings injured and before that overweight and unfit. RNL no longer relevant. So we've certainly got no wingers of any note. When on paper before the season started, I was excited about watching RNL and Jennings. Ah well.
Haha. Am I chuff. I'm saying he's not relevant because he's never played up front or out wide anymore, if he even gets a minute on the pitch. But he's obviously doing nowt to impress in training or the 21's. But then, I doubt Treacy is either, looking at him. Dunt even laik reserve games.
Let's be reight, when you are the size of Treacy you can't play reserve matches.... I really hope RNL sorts himself out. I think he has a manager that will support him but he's got to show summat. I know he's been through a lot of **** especially at the hands of the Special Bolton Clown but can he come through it?
Opinion respected Whitey, but Digby has had one or two chances now and hasn't impressed at all. He's had games for England lately, so isn't short of competitive action? I'm more up for RNL being given a run because he's always impressed me as having great natural talent. But either way, we have to make some decisions on these fringe players. I do agree that the defence is not fit for purpose - it doesn't seem to matter which combination we play. Cranie is pinching a living to my eyes, and Ramage woefully demonstrated his limitations yesterday. M'Voto looks accident-prone, but I'd think abut him/Nyatanga/Brown at the back and look to blood the younger lads who play in that position. Overall we're crying out for a leader in CM or defence, or preferably both. When you consider how Danny has built earlier teams, I can't help but wonder if the much-publicised stats-based input is hampering construction of a competitive team. I know they say Danny has the final word, but why do we hamper him with this nonsense? Stats will not give you the human/intuitive feel for who will fit into a balanced side. It's hard to escape the conclusion that we are suffering from the same failings that have afflicted us for the last 3-4 seasons. If that's the case then we need to get rid of the remaining dead wood a.s.a.p.
