And not just the game. Sat in ground wondering where my brother (Mario Kempes for those that don't know) is. Game kicks off, no sign of him, 2 nil up, no sign of him. Text him, no reply. Find out at half time the silly sod has been knocked down on Harborough Hill on his way to game. He's ok, in hospital, needs pins in his leg and ankle, bit battered and bruised, but ok. Had to leave game early to go collect his car for him to take it to his house. Finally get set off for home and the feckers have closed M1 (N) near Wakey so had to go all way round Leeds on ring road. Hour and half to get home instead of 45mins. ****s. Grandma's funeral in morning too. Life's a tit at times.
Best wishes on a speedy recovery to Lee. Probably for the best that he missed the game though. Always a bright side. Unless you've to go round Leeds on the ring road. What a basterd that is. All the best to you for tomorrow, pal. Good send off I hope. You Reds.
Send my best wishes to my Mario. Hope the funeral goes OK. Get a lottery ticket at the weekend. Summat's got to go right for your family soon.
Bugger. Hope thy ok lee. Looks like you will be having plenty of days at home. Gizza shout if ya ever need picking up for a day in the office
Good grief, horrible news, mate. Please pass on everyone's best wishes to Mario and condolences to you & all the family for the loss of your Grandma. Football is totally insignificant in comparison.
Oh no, that's terrible. Pass on my best wishes to Mario and hope the funeral goes as well as these things can.
Some brother you are...didn't you teach him the green cross code?...seriously glad he's ok mate and sorry to hear about your grandma,
Thanks all. Service was lovely. Mario made it (in wheelchair) and did us proud with his eulogy. He's back at hospital now for his operation.
Mario, get mended soon lad. Class act by the way, eulogy from a wheelchair whilst awaiting operation.....top class.
fekkety fek Ponty 72 please pass my best wishes to Mario Kempes ....sounds like it could have been a lot worse too. Take care folks
Bl**dy hell what a dreadful few days for you all, ever so sorry to hear about your Grandma, hope today was the send-off she no doubt deserved. Pass Mario my very best wishes for a speedy recovery, he's probably my favourite poster on the BBS (probably 'cos he always talks sense and I usually share his point of view - us genetic garbage types have to stick together), one of these days I'm going to have to meet him and buy him a pint! Good on him getting to and doing his bit at the funeral too, speaks volumes for the lad. Be happy to help if he needs any help if I can while he's laid up recovering, I know what a pain in the arras that can be, just PM me on here.
I'll let him know red west. Cheers. He'll be back on here soon I imagine. Although we think he is in hospital for the weekend now. Too much swelling for operation.
