It's less than a month away now and about 30 reds fans will be taking part, raising money for a good cause. Here's the guff: http://www.weststandbogs.co.uk/ and here's the link to donate: https://mydonate.bt.com/fundraisers/weststandbogs

May I take this opportunity to thank ryhilltyke for his recent donation and hopefully we can get somewhere close to the target figure which would make Christmas that little bit better for those less fortunate than us.

Or you could say gu ballax and we'll walk theeear for't laugh. Int rain/snow/wind.

    Thanks for reading.

    You Reds.

Are you going to the match, or just walking there then coming back?

Please do. Be good to meet you. Should be one of those "remember that stupid walk we did?" memories. And it feels good to do something that - if we get enough donations - will help less fortunate folk out at Xmas.

only one minor dilemma i have. as an atheist, does it make me a hypocrite, helping to raise money for a church project? are lass sez not. as long as I know the money's going on snap, not religious propaganda :)

It's **** all to do with religion. It's about raising money so that a few volunteers can give those with nowhere to go on xmas day, some xmas dinner, a cracker, a sleeping bag and a bit of happiness.

I have exactly the same predicament. But they're the only charity I can find that supports the homeless in Town and regardless of religion, what they do is a fantastic thing.

Be good to have you doing it mate.

Aye. Is fundraising mandatory? Or is the team spirit for the walk, just as important? Obviously i'll try like. But i've done a lot of fundraising this year already, so I reckon I might struggle to rattle the bucket much more, with people I know...

More the merrier. Obviously we're doing it for charity so if all 30 decide they just fancy a walk it's all a bit pointless like.

I'm looking at getting a bus back for everyone but with the numbers who have signed on we might have to ask folk to sort themselves out but we'll see. Email weststandbogs@gmail.com so I can add you to the list.

Right. Count me in. Just sent a mail. No refundable dipper required though. I'll make a £10 donation to the page Whitey posted, instead.

Now that's sorted, does anybody know what the deal is for the match? Pay on gate or ticketed? I'll be rocking up to this on my tod, so would obviously like to be sat together at the match.

I think Dyson needs to clarify some of these things, pal. Me and bossman are just rocking up together at silly o'clock and walking to a football game. S'all we know right now.

And Dyson, is that what me and Roy need to be doing? Donating a tenner apiece to the charity page or duz tha want our brass ont day?

Just sent an email round actually lads. Money was for a bus home but reckon we've too many now for me to sort one so it's every man for themselves to get back.

If you wanna donate a tenner though, feel free!

Could WSB contact the club to see if possible to sell a block of tickets?
