I left school back in 2001 and I can't quite remember all my results that I got in my GCSE's and I'm wondering if anyone knows the best/easiest way to get them back. A know there's a few teachers on here so you might be able to point me in the right direction.

    TIA

I have always wondered this , how do you go about retrieving the information if the school no longer exists

Contact the examining board (eg Edexcel, AQA).

I'd think the Education authority should have a record of the examining body.

If not them try the new school as they may have taken the old records over.

i had to do this with my maths exam....AQA will have a look for ya on their records (£30 i think it was). No guarantee of success but you don't get your £30 back if they find nowt.

If it's for a job can't you just say x number A-C and take a guess. I can recall 85% of mine from 1996 from memory

If the school still exists they should be able to get them for you. If the school has gone the examining bodies in 2001 were most probably Edexcel, AQA or OCR depending on the subject.

It's potentially for a course I may look into doing, experience in the field can get you an interview for this type of course but if I had my results it may help.

Just lie, it seems most people do on their CVs anyway. Be careful not to make yourself look too good though. 5-6 GCSEs at A-C is ok, 25 at A* might be pushing it.

Agree with CS. Just make them up. No one is gonna ask for evidence of poxy GCSE results from 13 years ago. Surely!?

It depends what he is applying for. With teaching you have to take the original certificates as proof.

This is Judith we're talking about here. It won't be teaching. The CRB checks would be a far bigger issue.

I can remember all of mine from 1988. Just saying.

I can also remember all 24 module results from a BTEC National Diploma I did 91-93. Because they were all distinctions. Again just saying.
