Because JCR was an idle little ***** towards the end of his career with us. Personally didn't mind Macevelli when he was here. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Where I was sat there wasn't a reaction towards either. JCR was the same lad I remember. Lots of good wing play, very difficult to contain, but not brave enough to actually take his man on and awful end product. Some lovely technique though, definitely a decent player at this level if somewhat inconsistent and frustrating to watch. JayMac was their best player. Looked solid and composed at centre half. Impressed me. And I used to cringe watching him at left back for us. Good luck to the pair of em.
Jay mac was the blunts best Player and despite what many on here would have you believe was a good player for us
exactly this. i actually thought we did well selling Golbourne as well but christ how bad a move was that!
I rated Golbourne. But I think Dudgeon is at least as good, but only if fit. I know for a fact the lad cannot play three games in a week. He's managing a knee condition. It's do or die this season for him in terms of his career, and he's playing through lots of pain every time he plays. It's for that reason I'd think twice before giving him stick. Anyone doubting him could do worse than watch the game back from yesterday. Full blooded is an apt description of him. I'd play George Smith next week, let Joe rest up, and also give Smith his chance.
We all thought McEverley had grown a foot. Can't recall him being that tall! Didn't do too bad to be fair
Ive no problem with Dudgeon at all. decent for us at this level and obviously coming back from a major injury.... no when we sold Golbourne and replaced him with that idiot kennedy thats what i was on about!
Mixed feelings. I liked him but if the reported fee of £700k is correct, it's pretty easy to see why we took it. Big money for a decent but not outstanding player. And then along came Kennedy...
Campbell-Ryce didn't want to know as soon as he got moved into the middle under Davey. His head was also turned by a bigger club and was thinking of his career by joining a top half side in the Championship instead of struggling against relegation all of the time
JCR went because of historic events at million didn't he As soon as MR arrived his day we're numbered
Golbourne was quality. McEveley was pretty poor, it's easy to over rate him now because compared to Kennedy he was outstanding but in reality McEveley was very poor at championship level
If we rank out of 10 for ability at Championship level. And John Stones was a 10, Trippier an 8 and Golbourne a 7. With Kennedy being a 2 I'd put McEvely at around a 4. Which is in my opinion a terrible fullback.
