They didn't behead me. Actually, I wasn't alone, I was with me mate Matt but he wasn't a Muslim. After living next to the place for 6 months curiosity got the better of us so we knocked on the door and asked for a look. An old bloke showed us round. As you said, it was like a church, only no pews.
Not quite. I shook hands with the Imam though and he smiled at me. Maybe he would have fiddled with me were my mate Ali not present. But then, Ali's a muslim too so surely he's 'in on it' n all? **** me. I'm being groomed.
There is documented evidence of that, but that isn't the norm, it's an exception. It's not the reality of the situation. Something bad has happened in every single place you can think of, that doesn't make similar places unsafe. There have been cases of children being abducted from playgrounds, should children not go to playgrounds? There have been cases of children being shot in schools, should children not go to school? Children have been molested by music teachers, should children not learn music?
For the record these are not my views, I'm just pointing out other reason people might of taken this stance I'm just not making a good job off putting it in writing
Lovely looking building it is. As are many churches. Religious or not, they do build good buildings. I think the mosque was warmer than most churches I've been in though.
I think we sort of get why, it's just that a lot of us believe those reasons are displaying ignorance (not racism) and the best cure for ignorance is to learn about the subject you're ignorant of, which would involve visiting the mosque. I'm ignorant on the subject of Islam too, I know very little about, but not so much that I wouldn't step foot in a Mosque. That's just daft, which is all we're trying to say.
I agree, but if people do stop their kids from going to the places you mention dose that make them uneducated ridiculous idiots, or just way too protective ? And who are we to say they are wrong, ask people who have lost kids to the Huntleys of this world if they feel they are wrong to try and wrap there kids up in cotton wool, It's not the way I'd go about thing but I can fully understand why some do and that's the point I'm trying to make
Only ever been in a mosque once in Wakfield and it was to fix the heating system it was big enough to keep a high school warm lol
I haven't been in a great big posh one like that. This is the one I've been in. <img src="http://s18.postimg.org/3rjaeu589/mosque.jpg">
I cant stand any religion truth be told, it's the main reason this country has been pulled in to blood filled wars. I'm not a fan of Islam due to the way SOME Muslims portray it and when I read the quran I can see why it can be misconstrued. However, the bible is all the same! Religion needs modernising, it's out of date and some people twist it into evil. Look at Glasgow! Two huge clubs, clubs drenched in history of cup glories, rich histories, title successes aswell! And yet they hated each other not for the battles they've had trying to win a league but because of religious beliefs, it's just unreal! I go to Ibrox about 10 times a season as my grandad supported the club and I consider them my second club, but I've seen the amount of sectarianism chanting and violence and it's sickening! And down right barmy. I can't believe in this day and age religion is still he cause of violence and wars. Religion is ****. But I do agree, children should learn about religions so they can make their own decisions later in life.
