For some it won't mean a jot, for those early 40 indie kids they are currently playing sultans of ping FC as a warm up... I'm in heaven!

Have they already played their farewell gig? I heard it was in the pipeline. Love Carter but sadly never saw them live.

The tequila sun is rising and the Harvey's Bristol moon is sinking
Put the Binatone on snooze and start drinking.
To the biggest mess in town
You put on your dressing gown
Nail your feet onto the ground

    The thunderbirds all gone
    The wagons rolling on
    And I'm on it.

I did, just for a bit of one-upmanship. Loads of times. Manchester Academy just after they'd released After The Watershed was ******* barmy. They didn't have health and safety in those days, they just kept cramming you in until they physically couldn't squeeze any more of you in to the room. The whole room jumped up and down as even if you didn't jump you were packed in so tightly you went up and down with everyone else.

No m off to that London to see em. Saw them at the Adelphi in Hull once maximum capacity 250 actual capacity about double got a proper kicking. Like Jay saw them regularly back in the day. Always preferred them live to listening at home.

The Hull Adelphi. Sounds brilliant doesn't it. It was a ******* terraced house.

I know still going strong as well. Saw the Manics in there just before they got famous. There was 3 of at the gig well 4 if you count Paul Jackson's dog who being deaf as a post went down the front and fell asleep just as they were going into Motown Junk.

If there was band that I couldn't stand at that time it was f.ucking lovely person***. I had the misfortune of putting the radio on tonight without knowing who was on and had to turn it off after 3 songs because of the racket. I believed at the time that it was some 'modern' type band and thought they sounded incredible like lovely person***.

I am now indulging in the delightful sound of Francisco Lomuto :)

One of my mates is a massive Carter fan. He first started going to their gigs for the crowdsurfing rather than the music, but then got into the band in a big way. All the videos of their concerts look absolutely mental.

The Radio 6 session was fantastic. Being able to listen to them play live on the radio as I drove home was a real thrill.

The final gig is at Brixton Academy on 22 November. Can't wait. Haven't worked it out but it'll probably be around the 20th Carter gig for me and likely to be a very emotional night.
