9 goals is it now? 9 assists. Scary. Me and bossman were saying how last season we probably didn't get that contribution from the whole midfield over 46 games. Be stunned if he's here on 1st Feb.
I think he'll be here to season end unless someone offers £2m+ And I don't see a champ club offering that as he isn't top end champ quality (yet). If we don't go up this season i expect him to go to a champ club and we'll get £2m. If we go up I hope he will stay.
Too good for league one. Given time he could develop into a modern day Redfearn. More likely scenario is he gets sold for a wedge and is then chastised for being sh**e!
Kin'ell he's only in league 1 probably wouldn't get in the midfield of a decent champs team. Bit at a time eh...
If he goes to a championship side that can afford him he'll spend most his time on the bench We've got the makings of a fantastic squad for this division but their not world beaters just yet their young lads learning their trade At a club that will develop them into players capable of earning very good wages in the future if Hourihane goes for the money now he'll have 3/4 season of what Butterfield as just had scraping about at 4 different clubs trying to settle down again
Conjecture, mate. Nobody 'knows' the future. I wouldn't want him to leave. I certainly think him departing in January would be too soon - he's only been here 6 months. But so long as we get silly money for him (or others) then I'll get over it. I've got over the departures of better players. I just feel a Championship club will come knocking in January. But have they got silly money?
I personally think he's far from the finished article, and would be anonymous in the Championship. Obviously though, anything over £1m and he'll be gone
Yeah we shouldn't sell for less than 3-4 million. About time we got Peterborough United style transfer fees.
End of the day the fee doesn't matter one bit. If the player wants to go we have no choice he can just say we have to accept it because he's not playing for us again.. Vaz Te, McIndoe.... Even John Stones said he wanted to leave once he heard the interest.
We hold out for whatever fee we deem appropriate, whether the player wants to go or not. Him saying "I won't play again" would be daft on his part. A L1 footballer trying to force a move like that? He'd look a right lovely person. I don't for one minute think Conor would do that, but I do think there'll be suitors either in two months or seven months time. Up to the powers that be to get BFC a good deal for once should that happen.
I honestly don't think he's ready for the Championship. He's got some real quality on the ball but that is only a part of the game. Off the ball he still has a lot of improvement to make. I can see a lower end club coming in for him, but he'd be mad to move to a club like that now. Keep improving and he'll have his choice of clubs in a year or 2. Money does talk though. If someone offers him 5k+ a week we'll struggle to keep him here and happy.
He's been an excellent signing, with his scoring and creativity with regards to creating goalscoring opportunities for team mates. Of course there are areas of his game he needs to work on, but that applies to practically every player at every club in the land. Who knows how far the lad can go as he develops, improves & matures, injuries notwithstanding? He's nowhere near his prime yet and I believe he can and will get even better.
Thee watch, forced move. Personally l don't think he's good enough yet to force a move but there's some stupid money in the championship, we haven't got a leg to stand on.
