    My Cousins Bloke is a Blade and he told me earlier that he had heard Ched Evans had a medical at Oakwell today, I laughed it off.
    But ive just seen someone else mention it on Facebook
    Anyone else heard it?? Hope its a load of ********

    Regardless of his history, given our current squad and the number of strikers we have on our books I would have to wonder why we would be signing him.

    It would make no sense from a footballing point of view. We're already top heavy with either good or decent forwards and have just signed one on loan, so another would make no sense. On top of that, the controversy it would create further invalidates any potential move. Absolute no-no surely. Cannot see it happening. His previous time with Wilson is the only thing in favour of such a move, but hopefully that won't count for anything.

    I suspect it's utter b0ll0x, and probably a bit of mischief making.

    Rumours amongst Blades fans I know was that Evans trained with some of their staff today, in Crookes, and then at Shirecliffe. Again, probably b0ll0x.

    It would make no sense whatsoever for us to sign an unfit convicted rapist, when a) it would divide fans and b) we have 2 strikers regularly scoring, and 2 waiting in the wings.

    I can't believe Danny or Ben would be that daft.

    Do we fall for this everytime? Half of the footy media's reports are taken from Facebook/forums etc. So let's imagine some fans embarrassing us and singing songs about us signing rapists, these fans we call the Dingles who couldn't possibly be classier than us, let's start a rumour on social media, it will soon spread just like the Billy Sharp ********, Radio Sheffield will them pick it up and it'll be gospel, they're signing him. Be int Mail an all tomorrow.

    Some mischief maker has thought Evans played for Danny Danny now at Barnsley so lets put it about Evans is in talks there - it sounds plausible enough to get people going

    Its complete ****** - Cryne wouldnt have him for sure even if Danny wanted him - and I cant see why he would for the reasons other have already said about alienating fans and upsetting the existing squad

    There's absolutely no validity in this rumour whatsoever we as fans have no connection to Evans at all so no allegiance formed.
    Danny had him at Blunts but there is no rhyme nor reason or indeed need to even consider him in our shirt.
    Some blunt fans would have him back because he used to p!at for them pre his crime so rumours there are obvious but many blunt fans are dead set against such a move and rightly so.
    Their Chairman has been very vociferous in his silence and imo has put his relationship with the fans into disrepute and disgustingly allowed the fans to be at each others throat along with ridicule from rivals.
    Mcabe will make statements after this has been settled but too late imo the damage is done.

    The rumour will have been started from a Wendy fan no doubt causing mischief.

    I don't know Patrick Cryne, Ben Mansford or Danny Wilson personally but from what I do know about them I would be amazed if any of them would consider signing Evans right now.

    I can tell you from information I have from a very good source, BFC will not, and have not at any stage considered signing Ched Evans.
