Thought with dark night here, this would be a good one.

    Well where do I start.

How amazing is a slow cooker, easy to do no messing and she loads on meals to cook.

So whose got one and what's the best meal to cook.

Tonight is stew and tomorrow night is a chillie ( living the dream)

Oh that's odd. Well I fry the meat first on a high heat for a few mins to seal it. Think you need to get the pot hot first too. Dunno what else to suggest. If I can do it it's more or less fool-proof.

Oh yes. Had brisket for Sunday Dins yesterday . Far more flavour and tender than the usual supermarket beef roast . Just need a bit of juice in the bottom of the cooker. Can't think what's going wrong. Google it?

Ham cooked in coke, (the soft drink variety). Bang ham in and pour a 2 litre bottle a full fat coke on, draws out the salt and gives a light sweet taste and really succulent. Also i do a cracking braised beef chilli. Like someone else said, you must brown meat off first for ten mins then bang it into a already heated pot. Cant go wrong for these dark nights.

Thai or Indian curries, soups, chili, pulled pork/chicken... i could go on. Love it.

My favourite is whisky ribs. Mix Jack D, cola, ketchup and barbecue sauce and leave them for a day. Stick em in the oven for an hour afterwards with more bbq sauce on top to dry em out. Amazing.

I often whack a joint of gammon in, just put it on low and leave it all day whilst I'm at work and it does it a treat.
