Yep Welsh Premier League game. Bangor v TNS. Bangor are now my 2nd team by default of being the closest team to where I now live. Sadly watched them get tonked 5-0 tonight by the only professional team in the league The New Saints, after seeing us draw against Bristol City a couple of weeks back I won't ever knock the standard of league one. It's miles ahead of football over here.
2nd game I've seen now. 2 losses 2 goals against one for. Bottom of the league and one win in 12 games. Makes BFC seem like premier league champions by comparison. Was Betws the other ground you visited?
Used to spend a lot of time in north Wales and went to quite a few games my abiding memory of Welsh football was Port Madoc v TNS (I think) I was next two these two ladies pre match having a chat and enjoying the pre match ambience. Now I'm not being unkind to say that these 2 ladies were the wrong side of 70 but as soon as the game started it was a stream of sexual innuendo towards the players. One particular phrase is still burned into my memory "he fills those shorts out nicely".
Betsw-y-coed, aye. Saw a few others too, but only those two 'close up'. Was meant to go see the Caernarfon ground but I was distracted in the castle and then it proper pissed it down so we went back to the cottage and *played scrabble. *we didn't
It pisses it down here a lot. It did tonight TNS had a player sent off. No one knew why due to the sideways rain!
I went to uni in Bangor and had a house on Farrar Road overlooking the ground from my room - free footy
It's been knocked down. It's now an Asda they have moved to a new ground on the banks of the menai straits.
Its changed quite a bit in the 4 years I've lived here now. Like it here though. Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk
Always been intrigued by a football club named after a company, "Total Network Solutions til I die!", are Airbus still going?
It was Friday night I went to this game. TNS means The New Saints now. Yep Airbus are still going too Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk
like the place myself too, enjoyed uni there and then lived in llanberis for a year. Hopefully the Octagon is still going!
Nope. Last time I checked it was called Peep now. Theatre Gwynedds been knocked down and replaced by some big new thing that's running past its deadline and way over budget too. My little ones having his next Birthday at the electric mountain building in Llanberis.
I used to work there - the power station that is. I remember going to Theatre Gwynedd to watch Train Spotting, have they re-developed the student union too?
Spent 18 months or so as a student living in Connah's Quay - never go around to watching the nomads play though I did see Wales play at Wrexham
