OR alternative one report in the Daily Mail being its usual hypocritical self, faux outrage but showing every possible modelling photo they can find of her.Lots of SSN reporters have done photo shoots. As is their choice. No-one criticises David Beckham, Tom Hardy, Chris Hoy et al for doing it

The implication, which I'm not saying was meant, in TLD ZOFF's post is that because she has posed for modelling photos she negates her right to criticise a rapist. Which just feeds in to the view of some that women who dress in short skirts and get drunk get what they deserve (again I'm saying this is the OP's view).

As a dad with a 2 year old girl the misogyny that exists in every day life scares me. Because someone chooses to do a modelling shoot it somehow prevents their right to a voice or a succesful career doing something else? Whilst the same people criticising will happily enjoy and comment on the pictures (I have no issue with people commetning on the photos btw, just those who choose to judge her at the same time).

Another prime example, Eminem's new song saying that he would deal with Lana Del Ray in the same way as Ray Rice did. Check out the video of what the NFL player did to his wife in an elevator. Eminem says 'Bitch I'll punch Lana Del Ray right in the face twice, like Ray Rice in broad daylight in the plain sight of the elevator surveillance, 'til her head is banging on the railing, then celebrate with the Ravens.' What. The. ****.

Ot take a recent thread by a poster on here about Cheryl Cole. All examples of men who hate women.

I'm not accusing you of doing the same, this just happened to be where I started typing. But I think Charlie Webster has been the most eloquent voice on this whole topic and should be admired for the stand she has taken. Not accused of seeking publicity or lambasted for having an opinion on rape because she's done some lingerie modelling.

 

That's not true though. Kirsty Gallacher certainly has. Charlotte Jackson has because some people tried to use it to justify Andy Gray's behaviour towards her

I am pleased that she has taken a stance, finally someone associated with SUFC has come off the fence, just a bit of a mixed message.

I'm not saying that She doesn't have a valid point of view or that it should be ignored because she did glamour photo's for cash and publicity.
I'm glad that she has put pressure on SUFC and football in general. I just find it sad that the only stance one way or the other from SUFC has come from Charlie Webster.
The board won't budge until one of their major financial backers blink.

A commendable stance, but she's tweeted in the past about how it was an honour to meet Mike Tyson.

 

My thoughts exactly..Im not convinced of his guilt in the first place..and he sticks by the statement that hes innocent.. miscarriages of justice do happen ..even to a massive scale like hillsborough...

 

Good on her, I hope more people associated with that scummy club follow suit and show their feelings over this Evans situation.

 

Regardless of whether he is guilty of rape or not, I am still not comfortable with the idea that someone can be held up as an idol and a role model to young kids when their moral compass suggests to them that it is acceptable behaviour to rock up at a hotel, gain a key from reception through deception to gain entry to a hotel room, go in the room and shag a woman he's never met before, even though he is supposed to be in a loving relationship, and then leave the hotel through the fire exit.

I wouldn't want my kids looking up to him, even if he is innocent of the crime of rape, the other facts of the case are not in dispute.
