Looking forward to seeing this. Whether it was an inspired decision by Wilson or partly caused by circumstances from what everyone is saying it seems to be working. I always rated Cranie as a footballer but not particularly as a centre half, and couldn't really see where he could be accommodated in the team. To be honest until recently I was sure that he'd be moved on quite soon, having never really played to his undoubted ability on a regular basis. I really hope that I'll be proved wrong on this one.

Cranie ten times better at full back. As is nyatanga in the middle. Finally got it right I think

He's a much better footballer than Nyatanga, it makes sense that he's at full back instead.

There's no way that Nyatanga would be able to beat a man like Cranie has been doing.

Surprise, surprise, full back/utility man Craine plays better in trademark role (right full back) where he made his name at Coventry... as opposed to tring to make him into a centre half... square pegs in round holes...

It is clear to see that Cranie is enjoying playing out on the right... he loves to get forward, take people on and beat a man, and the lad can play a bit... Happy for him to fill at Centre back but better with the ball at his feet than in the air...

We seem to do this on a regular basis, I remember Steve Foster signed as a right full back who loved to get forward... we then picked up a few injuries at centre half and he stepped in and never played out on the right again.

    Why do we

We just do no matter who the manager is.

To be fair though I always really rated Foster at CH, despite his lack of stature. Can't say the same for Cranie. Really chuffed to see him doing the biz at right back though.

He was always a RB in his early career years. Played RB for England u21s. He hasn't got the skill set of a CB. RB is his natural position.

Cranie's a quality centre back or right back for us.

It always amused me on here when other players would **** up & Cranie would get the blame because he was the captain.
