Think you've quoted me rather than Red Rain. I too like Hemmings. First league start in ages. Blowing the cobwebs off. I think he'll come good for us over time.

I always remain true to myself

    As perhaps you do too

Not on here to make friends

I just don't like dragging the personality of the poster into things

But if I'm being naughty then please send Miss Whiplash round to correct me - I'm free for once this Saturday afternoon

Perhaps the 20 or so poster that you read hold more balanced views than the majority who post on here, but my remark was addressed at the majority. As I say, I must read 200 posts for every one that I write and most of those posts I do not reply to because the views expressed in them are so extreme. Many posters use the BBS as a safety valve to express their elation or frustration and I have seen it written that this is exactly what the BBS is for. I am out of step with the great majority on here, because that is not what I want to do. I was not referring to any individual. It was merely a statement of my observations. It is even possible that I am up my own arse, but that is for others to judge and not myself.

I think when we play at a high tempo we are an absolute joy to watch, but we can't do it for a full 90 minutes, and i think that's where retaining possession is important. I get the point about possession not necessarily equating to creating chances, but I'd much rather see us play keep-ball than aimlessly punt up-field every time. We do make mistakes, Berry and Bailey had passes infield intercepted from which Colchester attacked us. The difference for me though is that those two generally try and find a "positive " pass rather than do what we've seen for 2-3 years and pass it around, panic, and launch aimlessly. The way we are trying to play, and the way most of our opponents have played at Oakwell, has made for some great games, last night included. I'm well happy with what we're doing.

I am not advocating the aimless punt, but I do think that we need a big man to act as a focus.

I couldn't get to the Burton game due to work, but is Trotta going to be that option? Wilkinson did that job with Wilson mk1 . I agree its a good option, if used to supplement the way we want to play.

I left the ground last night pleased with the win but feeling a bit frustrated with our performance after Colchester's first miskicked goal. I know I wasn't on my own. I was especially willing Hemmings to do well and disappointed when, despite running about a lot, he didn't, and looking forward to finally convincing the bloke sitting next to me that Berry is not the lightweight he reckons he is; I don't think it was Luke's best night either.
Now I'm not tactically aware enough to work out whether we struggled because of our own failings or Colchester's tactics. Perhaps we didn't struggle, but we seemed very vulnerable at the back. Maybe Red Rain has put his finger on the problem, maybe not, but I enjoyed reading his analysis and sure don't see it as negativity.

The majority of the BBS aren't as you described. Not in my opinion.

I want to once again make it clear that I appreciate you posting and indeed enjoy reading your stuff.

    Good night to you, pal.
