'Fkn chinkys. Fk it. There's enough dogs in Cardiff for us all to go around.'
On the arrival of South Korean international Kim Bo-Kyung

'Go on, fat Phil. Nothing like a Jew that sees money slipping through his fingers'
    On football agent Phil Smith

'He's a snake, a gay snake. Not to be trusted'
On an official of another club

'Not many white faces amongst that lot but worth considering.'
On a list of potential signings

'I hope she's looking after your needs. I bet you'd love a bounce on her falsies.'
    On a player's female agent

A picture entitled Black Monopoly (where every square was a "Go to Jail" square)
Sent to members of Cardiff's staff

You must be a pleasant individual if you say things a lot worse than that.

I am very pleasant, my friends make jokes about my heart condition... it doesn't bother me, why? Because their just jokes! Life's too short to be offended by stuff like that.

Calling your boss a chink on a work phone to a colleague. Pretty sure that wouldn't result in a written warning at my place.

It seems a strange decision to appoint when if he is found guilty by the FA of racism (which he doesn't deny - I can't see the banter defence getting him off the hook when Suarez case was far more complex) he is going to get a long ban. I also think the seriousness of the allegations relating to finances have been underplayed by many in casting Tan as the pantomine villan. I believe in innocent until proven guilty but its a bold choice. Then again Rotherham continue to employ Steve Evans.

So because you're not offended by your friends making fun of your heart condition, it makes it OK for a senior member of staff in a large company to make 'jokes' about Jewish people, homosexual people and black people under his employment and using a company phone to do so?

And if your 'jokes' are a lot worse (by your own admission) than those posted above, you think that makes you a very pleasant person?

Also reinforces my long time beliefs that Dave Whelan and Harry Redknapp are both complete cap ends

More pleasant than someone who tries to belittle another person just because they don't subscribe to your views

Is he belittling you or just responding to your comments? You do seem a little misguided on this. And you vote ukip.

Is it your right to an opinion that's being questioned Jake? Or the opinion itself? Bigotry is bull$hit and shouldn't be accepted. In any society. Plain and simple.

He was saying that I wasn't a pleasant person just because of my type of humour, Frankie Boyle kind of comedy basically.

I am disabled and I'd find it funny especially if it was a witty joke.

Again, you pass it off as in someway funny, or acceptable because other people do it as well. Why?

It's not funny, to the people it offends. And the fact that others do it, doesn't justify it. It just makes it an even bigger problem.

To be fair that for me is the only issue here, the fact he did it behind their backs. That is wrong

Like I said I don't defend him I have a daughter with a mild disability myself. My missis runs a small business we were out down the pub with a few of her employees the other day and they were calling her a tight French git (which I agreed with) then spent the rest of the evening slagging each other off. Should we sack em all? People let off steam about the boss its human nature.

Racism and sexism are deplorable. However people's entrenched attitudes to these things aren't cured in isolation the shape of the society around them changes things. Wew live in a country run by an upper class privately educated elite. Women are paid less and have less chance of promotion etc. Disabled people are seen by employers as unemployable. We lock more people up from B&EM dispite them being no more likely to commit crimes. When we tackle these things then it'll be time to tackle some old dinosaur like Mackay. I'm just not sure playing the polical correctness card is the way to achieve lasting change or should be prioritised. He was an idiot he got the push.

The name calling you had with your friends was mutual which was not in makays case it was aimed at unwitting people.
I don't class this case as political correctness at all infact is as easy to lay that card as on the other extreme with the race card.I find it snidey and despicable tbh a d wouldn't want someone like that working for or in charge of me .people should be able to go about their buisness without this sort of abuse/'banter' . I agree that their are plenty of other prejudices and ignorances to tackle but to suggest we leave some till last is a bit naive to say the least IMO

    Can't agree with that.

It is wrong if it offends by coming to the ears of someone who ought reasonably to be offended.

You can be as racist, homophobic, sexist etc. as you like as long as nobody is offended.

So do it behind their backs but never let them find out.

Plus then you only have yourself to worry about.
