I'll believe it when I see it. To be honest I'm not right bothered either way but I would like them to switch the current scoreboard off.

No idea. But the board itself is coming from China. And it's as big as the current structure.

Announced we were getting a replacement on 30th Aug 2012, let's hope it's worth the wait and adds to the experience

Oh I dunno, it adds a layer of excitement when we're only one goal up and you can't tell whether there's 2 minutes to go, 10 minutes to go or the scoreboard thinks we haven't kicked off yet.

Yes, they applied before the end of last season.
Place I worked at was approached to bid for the construction and erection of the framework.

True. It certainly adds bit of comedy to proceedings. I wouldn't have made it through last season without the scoreboard. It perked me up many times.

I'm happy, and it will be an improvement!! But it's a big (giant) 'screen' we need not a scoreboard!! Would be good to have videos played of past goals and massive moments pre-match and half time in between adverts and latest scores!! Just keep timerider pumping out while famous goals are being played at 2.53 onwards :)

Sounds like the screen will be size of the frame which is currently filled by the scoreboard and two adverts

By current structure I'm guessing they mean is it will replace the West Stand.

So what we'll get is a massive screen along one side of the ground showing a stand that's full and all the supporters are alive ;)

It'll never happen either way :p
