Does he have a future at Barnsley? I know the general consensus is he's a good back up centre back but at the stage he's at in his career, would that be enough for him? I think he may leave at the end of the season if the situation hasn't changed.
I think he's a fair way off being first choice and won't hang around just to provide cover. Not really good enough either.
He looked good for Oldham in this division, hasn't replicated that in the few games he's played this season I can see Ramage signing permanently at the end of the season and his loan extension shouldn't be a problem as Palace don't want him
It's very unfair to say he's not good enough. Back end of last season he was our best player and his performance at Charlton was the best individual performance I saw all season. He may get his chance but if not he'll move on and be a good centre half for someone else.
My MotM at Fleetwood and has been no worse than some of our defenders who have played regurlarly, must have been **** hot for Oldham.
I'd gladly accept any offer from the glue factory now before he's inevitably released in the summer. Awful signing.
No I didn't go to Leeds away. Either way they're both very good performances. The point is M'Voto shouldn't be written off as a poor player.
Apart from his various displays that show him to be an extremely poor player that lacks in the very basics of defending including tackling, positioning & the ability to control a football with his feet. If a team are happy to pump a ball long then he can head it really far which is great. Except despite what people thought I'm yet to see a side do that this season.
I would suggest that his performances over last season as a near enough regular centre half have led to some writing him off. He was ******* awful in large parts of it, and even when he was decent, he had a mistake or three in him. Not knocking him, just judging him on what I saw. I thought he'd be decent a level lower down but he's not getting the opportunity to show that. Decent enough cover though. On Hassell, he played about 20 games in the last couple of years, hardly put a foot wrong, if at all. Still wrote off on here. Even when he wasn't laiking. So you've a job on trying to tell folk not to write off BFJ after a season as a regular in a side that went down, shipping goals for fun.
No doubting he's got a mistake in him. He always will have. But on his day he's solid. Nyatanga was abysmal last season, he been the same for parts of this. But Dannys been patient and given him time to settle in to regular football again. Because of that he's starting to look the part. It doesnt bother me if M'voto doesnt play another game for Barnsley. But I think if called up he can do a good job.
Let me in on the consistently good ones Mario. I know we have been exceptionally strong in that department over recent years but giz an heads up mate.
so good that he never played for us again? I agree that M'Voto's efforts towards the end of last season were one of the only things that kept me interested. I went mental listening to his goal against Charlton. I like him, but he's probably not reliable enough to be our 1st choice CB.
Nyatanga was better than BFJ. And this season he's been fantastic at centre half. Unsung hero. I've said Big Jean is decent cover. I'm not writing him off. Just saying he was **** last season. He was.
He did play again. Best player ont pitch against Bolton. Fair do's, he was then discarded after injury etc, but as much as I love Danny he got that one wrong. And his ignorance regards Paddy. He instead selected Woods, Frimpong, Kennedy et al. He's a hero, Danny. But he ****** up last season.
