Won't be happy if I see somebody writhing on the floor after a minor push or imaginary touch this weekend.

Went to see my daughter play netball this morning, poor girl on the opposition landed awkwardly and snapped her ankle. 12 year old, how brave was she whilst me and a few others comforted her and assisted the paramedics ? Will never forget that. Nearly an hour on the floor before they could get her in the right state to get her onto the stretcher and ambulance and the only time she screamed was when they had to lift her. Full fixture list and every game called off immediately, girls distraught.

Just had email as I type - broken 2 bones in her leg.

I hope the lass is OK and make a speedy recovery. You're right though, some (quite a lot) of professional footballers are an embarrassment with the way they roll around on the floor at the slightest touch and in some cases no contact at all. I hate it and I wish something could to stop it.

    Hope she's okay mate.

My brother was caught with a late tackle when he was playing for his school, a good 7 or so years ago now. This was after 5 minutes, played on till half time then took his sock off and his foot just opened up. As soon as the air hit it, he said the pain was awful and he couldn't really walk on it. When he got to the hospital he'd fractured a bone in his foot, but had played 40 minutes with it. All he could say was, we'll at least I've got a reason for having a bad game.

I played netball once. Took a back elbow in the face and had one of the biggest black eyes of my life...
