    ...a pea.

The football at times was good and we had some excellent chances to score. Winnall, Hemmings and Cole all having superb chances to score but overall we didn't show enough urgency, heart or desire to win the game. Chesterfield did. They wanted it more and ground out the result. I think we went there as fans with high expectations and I also believe based on the performance, so did the players and on top of that, based on the team selection so did Wilson and the coaching staff and as a result we switched off the professionalism and work rate of recent weeks and came a cropper.

    A disappointing afternoon.

Agree with all that apart from the heart and soul of a pea comment. I don't think that's true at all. Chesterfield worked harder than us today and deserved their victory, but I don't think our players lack heart, I've seen plenty of it this season, it's just difficult to play at 100 mph every game. We'll beat teams by working harder this season, we were just outfought today.

I still think we are missing a proper bulldog of a centre mid, some nasty fecker to get stuck in. Our midfielders are too powder puff in that compartment.

Could have done with one today. When Bailey doesn't perform, and he didn't today, we've no else stopping the opposition playing. Bailey isn't the type that really gets stuck in, but he's a very effective barrier. He doesn't jump in, he slows the opposition down and stops them getting through by staying on his feet. He didn't today. Well below his usual standard both with his defensive work and his passing.

So we lose a match and it starts....

We were poor. Players can't always play at their best. Could have easily won despite that though.

I know he had his critics but I thought he'd be a useful player in this league.

Same, but after last season and the manner in which we went down with the squad Dawson was a part of, not to mention his off the field problem, i was glad to see him leave.

Jay didn't direct his question to you, and also that article is about a seal having sex with penguins?

What you say is entirely true. Does not invalidate my comment though.

Got to feel sorry for those poor penguins. His mates aren't helping either. Or are they waiting for their turn? Hard to tell...

No idea what your problem is. Or Bright Red for that matter. I was asking Jimmy if he was responding to me or the opening post. No point answering him if it wasn't directed at me. You can't always tell because some people use threaded view and some use linear, which means responses can turn up in different places depending on how you view the board. I asked him for clarification and he's now confirmed he wasn't talking to me.

Haven't a clue why asking him that question has provoked the reaction it has.
