He was funny about ten years ago though. There isn't a comedian around who can milk their fans for overpriced stuff as well as he can. I remember the christmas he released a DVD with no new footage on that hadn't already been seen and people still bought it in vast numbers. Then he stuck his tour just to Manchester so he didn't have to travel to his fans, they had to come to his doorstep and he sold out at ridiculous prices. Now he's flogging the tired horse known as Phoenix Nights. The show was good and shouldn't be brought back. But then he looks short on fresh ideas.

It's a strange one seen as though he hasn't asked half of the original cast (according to them) and he doesn't get on with Paddy McGuiness either from what I gather. It's one of those, it's probably better to leave it alone now.

Think they made up because Peter was best man for Paddy and earlier this year Paddy told the media they had been writing together. Rumoured to be new episodes of Paddy and Max for specials, but not confirmed.

One if many reasons I hate Kay, putting my favourite comedian off doing TV work meaning I have I travel to London to see him live most of the time. That said I cannot wait to see his new production with Tim Key "Tree" I reckon it will be well worth the train journey.

Who was it that said "Peter Kay is the second best Northern comedian at performing Dave Spikey's material."

Well the know Alps will be glad to know everyone has returned to do the show, and for free.

I agree on that too. Peter Kay on the other hand is still regurgitating the same jokes from his early tours. People still pay handsomely to see him though so what do I know.

To be fair to Peter Kay he's kept quiet recently, but I get your point about the regurgitated DVD. His last tour was new material, although just an update on his previous stuff.

Was it a pissed up Russell Hound on Buzzcocks that said 'Peter Kay, he's really good at remembering'

Thing is, Russell Howard, Rufus Hound, whoever, they'd love the career and respect as well as the coin Kay has gathered over the years. I like all kinds of comedy. Big Stewart Lee fan in particular, but I still enjoy Peter Kay's stand up too.

Certain tv series have a shelf life

Made too many Fools n Horses for example.

    Learn when to walk away.

That man is awful. So smug and self righteous, particularly dismissive of the north in several things I've seen and heard him on with nothing to back it up like talent or material beyond "look at me I have a moustache and talk quite loud. Beers good isn't it?"
