And wants to stay another ten years. He's got a 1.33 points per game success over three tiers with us. Comes out at 60 points in a season. W88 D66 L95 Make of that what you will, which could well be 'it's irrelevant'
Aye. I always refer to him as Danny rather than Wilson, or DW when writing for brevity. He's one of us.
6th, 10th, 2nd, 20th (highest level) then 23rd (half a season). If he can build on the last twelve month we will soon see results
His first season in charge, 1994/95. At the end of the season, the Premier League was reduced from 22 to 20 teams, meaning four clubs were relegated and only two promoted (Middlesbrough as Champions, Bolton as Play Off winners). Any other season and we'd have been in the Play Offs. Also, it's worth remembering Wilson wasn't allowed to spend a single penny on transfers.
Great season that. Archdeacon, Payton, Liddell, Redfearn, Eaden, Taggart and O'Connell. There was a period where I fully expected us to win every home game, and for a time, we practically did. A few ***** results towards the end of the season halted hopes of getting 5th.
Didn't we need to beat Middlesbrough on the last day but only drew or something? Or someone else scored a late equaliser to rob us? Pretty sure there was some drama or other.
'they Dunt wanna gu up' I have zero recollection of all this happening. Worryingly though I'd probably have gone to 75% of the games! I'm gonna look at the results-table later to try and reignite the grey matter
That was 90/91 season under Machin. In 94/95 our last game of the season was away at Southend and we took blumming loads. We had to win by a massive score and hope Tranmere or Wolves or someone lost heavily. We lost 3-1 so that ended that.
