some want it, some do not. The ones that want him to go say that he is only hanging on because of his success with us in 96/7. They accuse the ones who want him to stay that their judgement is coloured around the Prem Promotion. I totally can understand that. But I think that Wilson was always going to be in danger of this scenario upon his return. The fact that he left to go to Sheffield Wednesday did not help his cause and maybe the fact he also had a spell at Sheffield United. In my opinion he was a very brave man to return, he must have realised that many Barnsley folk would hold a grudge ... some may say its childish , I mean fancy holding a grudge for 17 years ... not like the folk of South Yorkshire to hold a grudge for almost two decades or more is it...
Yes a great comparison. One a fight for jobs and a better society the other a mardy abart a bloke leaving to earn more money
I am not his biggest fan but it would be madness to sack him. We have had some promising displays, but today was shocking. Lets try and restore some pride on Tuesday night. Its the inconsistency that is letting us down. Lets keep the faith and hopefully the just rewards will arrive.
errm no no I think you are confusing me with the HR/Conan/TS posse... and as with RedStar your are being rather presumptuous too.
I wouldn't have had him back not because he went to Wednesday although that didn't help, but more because of his poor record.
Which poor record would that be? (Not counting his current spell with us of course, as you were talking about prior to that).
Re: cheeky monkey We've lost a couple of games by the odd goal, not played well in either. It's not great. But we're back to questioning the manager's position again are we? This forum's crackers.
Re: cheeky monkey The boards crackers for creating the situation The fans are in two camps thone morals and standards and those without
Re: cheeky monkey Naew. It's populated with various opinions, but some are bloody OTT, be that positively or not.
Re: cheeky monkey ^^ Absolutely ^^ Was sure about 2 weeks ago that we were talking sneaking promotion via the play offs. For God's sake, this is a work in progress - inconsistency was always going to be a monkey on our back this season.
Re: cheeky monkey What the **** have morals got to do with anything?. Bloke who works in football leaves for a better job and you're saying that it morally wrong for us to want him to come back? Jesus. Can't get my breath.
Re: cheeky monkey It's not for me to decide what folk can post etc, and I too feel very disappointed with the result today. I can't judge the display as I didn't clock out of work until 2.58pm so I didn't see the game. Saved myself 50, 60 quid though so I'm looking on the bright side and forward to the game Tuesday. Just find it bizarre to bring up the managerial position every time we lose a couple. Because the same folk'd be doing it with the next manager and so on etc.
