    just another moment of stupidity from him. a part of me genuinely believes it's intentional now, to keep his idiotic reputation in the headlines. i personally don't think he should be banned. he's apologised and deleted the tweet. i just wonder what the **** football clubs are thinking, when they sign him.

    i personally don't think so. i think his statements following the tweet have clarified that. it was obviously a galactically stupid thing to have done, and has no doubt offended many people. i don't see how a ban will help. only people that hurts is Liverpool, and i don't see how they should suffer.

    I agree marc,it's done intentionally. He wants to be in the news regardless of what for.

    Have you noticed he is regularly out late for the 2nd half in games? Everyone waiting for him. Again I think it's on purpose, he loves to be the centre of attention.

    Immature and monumentally stupid.

    I think that just because footballers are paid a lot of money, we tend to assume a level of intelligence/maturity. The problem is, many of them have neither. Not only that, the media gather around them waiting for them to make a mistake so that they can be the first to lead a campaign of national outrage. Mario has proved in the past that he is an idiot, and what we have here is just another example.

    I suppose Mario could be an idiot racist, but I just think that he is an idiot.

    So do I and lets also be real here it wasnt sent with any malice just a use of stereotyping for humor
    he just forwarded on a picture which is so tame even the BBC have no problem putting it on their website

    its a generally held view in humour that Jews are moneygrabbing, Irish are stupid, Scots are mean with money etc -every nation has some steriotype attached and they are used all the time by comedians and satirists. Does it mean all Jews are money grabbing and all Irish are stupid - of course it doesnt - does it really fuel racism to tell jokes which rely on a national stereotype as a punchline - I dont think so though others dont agree -especially those who are on crusades to self promote how righteous they are.

    Mind you a ban might be good for Liverpool - the way he has been scoring for them makes Kayode Odejayi seem prolific
