Matt - thanks for your response. Please PLEASE don't think I am having a go at you or anyone else in the broadcasting team. As I said above, I am a long time subscriber going back to my days as a southern exile which have spanned most of my adult life. Even though I am now close enough to get to matches regularly I still appreciate being able to hear away day commentaries and everything else besides.

Your point about the club not being obliged to provide full match replays is news to me. I just assumed that it was part of the package and, to be fair, it is nearly always there. I was only raising this due to the absence of them over the last two games, and not seeing the Donny ones on line yet. If their absence becomes a regular thing I can see some subscribers dropping out altogether, which will be a shame if that costs the club money.

I know you have technical problems now and then and there is nothing you can do about that at the time - I understand that. It's annoying if commentary drops out but, from my point of view, that very rarely happens. Perhaps having a decent superfast broadband connection helps.

Just like to say thanks really for what you and the guys do. I especially enjoy hearing guest commentators - ex-players have often got really good insight into how the team are playing now. Like most who have heard him, I was particularly impressed with Nicky Eaden's contribution earlier in the season.

I didn't think you were having a pop. Just thought I'd try and set you straight; BFC have always tried to provide this extra content where possible and I'm sure they'll continue to do so whenever there are no extenuating circumstances, but as you no doubt appreciate this can be difficult at times.

If you were able to look at Player facilities across the board I'm sure you'd find that there are only a low percentage of clubs who are able to provide full-match replays with added commentary, as it is such a time consuming job in the editing suite.

Thanks for your positive comments and I agree totally re: expert summarisers, they certainly add an extra dimension to our broadcasts.

I'd probably be rich beyond my sordid dreams if I wasn't such a proud, young, handsome lad.

Couple of weeks in Lanzarote, stupidly busy time at work and far too many defeatist morons have kept me away...Have a good festive period yourself.

Eaden was so good when I heard him last season, his summary of Wiseman and TK was one of those 'you had to be listening to appreciate it' moments. Nailed them both in about 60 seconds.

Maybe it's an age thing, but I'm edging into agreeing with you 'territory' far too often. The negativity on here whenever we don't win is pathetic. And in case I didn't at the time, thanks for the BCDP donation last month.

Thanks for the explanation, and I understand more about how things work now! Keep up the good work.

    a totally unacceptable answer

I also pay for the service and I am disgusted... I do not want just High lights I want the whole thing. This needs totally sorting... do all the other clubs who are using the "Player" thing have this nonsense. ??

No probs...proud of all of you.

You actually passed within a couple of hundred yards of Spart Towers...sadly I was in Exeter at the time.

Go and click on the 71 other football league clubs websites, and have a look yourself. You'll find that less than 10% of them do full match replays.

you do a great job on there, whether the club recognises it or not

the club is the fans , not the board , or the management

He was brilliant when he came to the Supporters' Trust night last year. Seemed like a really knowledgeable coach, talked a lot of sense and had some great stories. You could tell Winstanley's footballing education still plays a big part with him as a coach now.
He's also promised to come down to Redfearn's to do a q and a etc before a game (and have a beer or two). Need to get it sorted out.

Well I signed up expecting to hear live commentaries, and see full matches as well as highlights (not really interested in the player interviews). Live commentaries for away matches have often dropped out and that's nowt to do with my internet connectivity.

What does the advert for player mean then when it says " Match and extended highlights"?

    Exclusive news and interviews
    Live audio commentary
Works on Mac and PC worldwide
    Match and extended highlights
    High quality 1.8MB Flash stream
See all premium content ad free
    - See more at: http://www.player.barnsleyfc.co.uk/home/#sthash.qPKO392q.dpuf

Sadly I may cancel my subscription at the end of the year because it doesn't do what it says on the tin!

Thanks JP. I've always said that "The listener comes first" ever since my days as a fledgling DJ with Chorley FM ;)
