    Leeks
    Red onion
    Sweed
    Runner beans
    Carrots

    All cooked in slow cooker and spooned into a big Yorkshire pudding once ready
    It's on now smelling amazing


    But what do you lot have in yours.

    I use shallots instead of onion, few sticks of celery, diced parsnip and some pearl barley. :)

    I'd have parsnips and button mushrooms in too but wife don't like ether so I've left them out

    Tried mushrooms once, didn't seem to work. The pearl barley is one of my recent additions and it thickens the stock up.

    Also found that the stew is at it's best the next day after a warm up. :)

    Made a stew the other day but kept it simple with what he already had in the house. Mince meat, potatoes, carrots and peas.
