Firstly I just want to state that I am not a pro-Wilson supporter but I am a die hard red (35 years) and feel the need to post this.......

This is NOT the worst team we have ever had and yesterday was not the worst performance ever. It wasn't good at all but the comments on here make it sound like we got ripped a new one and that just isn't factually correct. Chester played above themselves (big game for them) and we were under par and had Ramage replaced by a player who is poor.

If that game had have been against another league 1 team we'd have probably shrugged and moved on!

Also, had everyone forgotten the absolute dross served up by Messrs Hill & Flitcroft. Games when we conceded goals for fun, games when no single player put a shift in and games where our own players abused the fans??

    Some short memories on here!!

Football is now a sport that requires immediate success, we have been poor for 4 games, losing 2 by the odd goal and drawing the other 2. Prior to that we were looking at the play off places.

We have to be patient. We have to get behind what we have got. Another change will set us further back IMO

you have described the last 4 games but against much poorer teams this season

People on here are running out of excuses for Mr Wilson .

Its very poor at the moment and yes last season was also poor but id rather be struggling in the championship than losing to Scunny, chesterfield and drawing to a non league club

Spot on. This season has had its highs and lows but I still remember last season, I remember the abject dross that we had to endure on an almost weekly basis and so far this season doesn’t come close, not on a regular basis. Danny has a major rebuilding job on his hands and it was never going to be done in one calendar year. Yes we have seen some dross this season and quite rightly the players and Danny have been criticised but for some to be calling for Danny to be sacked is just crazy. We need stability and for me Danny is still the right man to do that.

Weren`t you one of those that wanted to see us relegated last season Loyal because you were fed up of being in the relly zone?

*****`s ***** Mario and its been served up by most managers and if yer dont like a manager then his ***** will always be worse in your eyes. As we are witnessing with statements about performances under Danny.

Yep. It was ***** under the berk and last season was ***** under Flitcroft. It was equally as bad under Wilson and there has been no improvement this season. The fact that we have had three horrendous home performances in just eight days has compounded the situation for the true supporters who have been to all three.

We all knew at the start of the season the team would be inconsistent. Up until 4 games ago I was enjoying this season much more than the previous few and we have played some very good football. Forget the Chester game - this sort of cup tie often shows a higher league club in a poor light even when they are playing well. The games against Scunny and Donny are more of a concern - but its just 2 games and far too short a run to even consider changing a manager

We have changed managers far too frequently over the past 15 years and until we get some stability I cant see us ever breaking the cycle. I didnt want Danny particularly but now he is here I still think he should get the season unless we start getting cut adrift at the botton - and we are currently an average mid table side so that shouldnt be up for discussion. If we change now we have to start all over again and no matter who we chose they will have a bad run at some point and we will have this all again.

What does annoy me is there are a vocal minority of posters who never wanted Danny in the first place and every time we hit a blip they are out in force clamouring for a sacking - when we hit a few games of decent form they disappear only to reappear next time we lose a couple.

I will be honest I am not happy at the moment and I think Wilson is making mistakes with the formation and team selection but he has a lot more football knowledge and many years of management experience so there must be good reasons for his choices

Parting shot look at Pardew - almost without exception every Newcastle fan wanted him sacked - now look at where they are and how they are playing. Not saying we will do the same but our bad run is so far a lot shorter than Newcastles was

Another reality check. We're hovering among the relegation zone in Division 3, with one of the biggest budgets in the league. Our performances are getting progressively worse, and we just served up our worst effort yet, against a mid table non league side.

Danny and Ben said they expected to stay up last season. They failed. They said they expected MINIMUM top 6 this season. They are way off that as it stands. The fans are quite rightly worried at how things are panning out.

No, Marc - we are progressing this is a fact. There is no evidence for this but it is a fact which cannot be disputed.

No we didn't, this is how we've been playing for the last couple of months. Burr has us playing with confidence, allowing players such as Mahon to express themselves wthout fear. If anything our finishing was off the boil yesterday and we didn't hold the ball up front as well as we have been recently.

    Thank goodness....

Thought both teams started hesitantly, then you lot realised we had an aversion to passing and running with the ball and grew in confidence.

Just glad to get a 2nd pop at it.

Aye they were shaky early doors, but they came out for second haif and took it to us, it weren`t until Jennings came on that we looked owt like.

Agreed. As **** as we were we could've sneaked it though.

Bit like when we played Enfield...

If being 14th in the division is hovering above the relegation zone then you're bang on.

I'm not being unrealistic and I'm really not a Wilson lover but this negativity is what shrouds this (and many other teams) with a view that 4 poor performances suddenly has us in the 3rd division.

I remember Enfield and Caernarfon. We've lost to lower league teams sporadically over the years as have many other teams, isn't that the beauty of the FA Cup.

I'm reserving judgement until 2015 because I've seen some good stuff this season, probably more than the whole of last season and will make my mind up after 3rd January.

Aye it could`ve gone either way int sneaking department.

With Jennings looking more like his owd self on one wing all we need is some one for tother side but not Dick Treacy he aint pullin up any trees despite being big enough to do it, maybe McHale could be given a go.

I'm reserving judgment as well. I'm not a rabble rouser by any stretch, and I don't want Wilson sacked. Just saying it as I see it. Right now we're $hit. Horrible to watch.

    Very accurate post.

I think we are at the tipping point, where a few good performances builds some momentum and much needed confidence. A few more abject performnaces and losses, then it really is getting to decision time for Cryne / Mansford.

That's why I say, end of festive period will be the D-Day.
