just assume a moment we lose on Tuesday and Wilson is relieved of his duties. Who do you think would be appointed, more to the point who do you think would want it... with the record of managerial changes we have had over recent years?
I'd hope Uwe Rosler will be looking to get a job. You would think our board would have lots of contacts, but thought that last time.
There'll always be someone to take the job. The trouble is that'll be 9 managers in 10 years and that kind of trigger happy record will rule out established managers IMHO. See Butcher/O'Driscoll farce for reference Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
ok you and I have crossed swords often...far too often. White flag of truce being waved here... what is your true opinion as to the aftermath of a defeat Tuesday and maybe the sacking of Wilson. I am struggling to grasp what man would take up such a poisoned chalice that has become the Managers chair at Oakwell.
Re: ok Do I think he will be sacked? No. Do I want him sacked Yes. DT it's been awful in the majority of Danny's 50 games in charge, there is nothing to suggest we can turn the corner. I think we would be taking a huge gamble sticking with Wilson. I would think the board would know through contacts who is likely to be interested. The Butcher/O Driscoll lessons will have been learned.
Re: ok Given the recognition that patience and more stability is needed, why didn't we keep Hill or Flicker?
If we sack Danny next week I will, for the first time, not give a **** who we appoint. What will be the point in caring when they'll be gone within twelve months.
You'd hope? thats exactly why we shouldn't be making rash decisions. you seem to be keen to offer anyone the job, last month it was powell this week rosler. there would always be a cavalcade of managers with a track record of failure sending in cv's. the harsh truth is that we are team of league one standard and not that attractive to managers who are looking to improve a cv, that rules out managers who are in employment or have recently been successful.
Hutchings would get it, always stepped in when Jewell got sacked, for me I'd get rid of Jewell and bring hignett in
And Hignett's managerial record is? A legend to the fans and a nobody to the players. Why should the players care. Crainie's seen off Hill, Flitcroft, Mellon and we'll toss him Danny for full measure. What incentive for the players when they realise they're safe and the manager will also be the one who gets the chop?
