    It's inevitable now.
As inevitable as it is boring.

Who is next? Probably Hutchings. Till may anyway.

Anyone saying Scholes ought to stop it with the acid.

Where's your proof on this? Or are you just reading between some very loose lines and fooling yourself to believe it's fact? You're like a dog with a bone with it so you must have some irrefutable proof. Care to share?

    See post in other thread

I'm largely being facetious but another manager will go and those in charge will carry on as before.

    Summits not reight.

Win games, show passion and commitment, Play entertaining football and any manager should be ok.

The problem is my beloved Barnsley Fc are doing nothing of the above.

A win against Chester though would be a start

Apart from 'we're 3 points away from the relegation zone to league two.' That's a fact whichever way you look at it.

Haha brilliant. So it works both ways, the facts from the so-called 'anti-Wilson' brigade don't count either because it's not May.

We are 3 points from the relegation zone. The manager has to take some blame for the lack of defensive nous within the squad he is building. We can be blinkered to it all we want.

The people who have posted since the game yesterday largely can't even work out what formation we were playing. That's hardly a good sign is it?

There are no facts that can decide this either way. All can be countered. He's had 1 window to build a squad. I'm sure he'll be the first to admit our squad is far from the finished article. Loads of injuries aren't helping at the moment too. I've posted that it's not looking good right now, very disappointing the last few weeks. But there are reasons I can see for that.

To keep sacking managers isn't the answer, I think our last 10 years history proves that.

My 4 penneth. We, in my opinion, are 20odd games into what should be a 140odd(3 seasons) project. Forget the last 20 of last season, line drawn! It's from August this year onwards.

Some good progress (getting rid of the deadwood, high earners, bringing in some quality players, seeing some really promising academy lads, attracting some Prem loanees, balancing the books and running the club in 'the black', a much improved off the field club, better PR marketing and attracting more partners than Kelly Brook could dream of, etc)

Some bad progress (a few 'iffy' signings but you could argue even Sir Alex managed that, some poor performances, some really poor, our recent 5 games, yes 5 games, our inabity to defend but you could counter act that with our ability to score.... I can't really think of much more)

So looking at that I'm going to say from Aug onwards we are making progress.

One last point............ if our results had been in reverse, so started off the season LDLDL, then went WWDWW and we were now in the same position with the same points, goals etc would anyone be questioning progress?????????

One of my main gripes is we've a team who, in many games this season, collectively look like they can't be bothered. I was at Walsall on Saturday and, bar 20 minutes of the second half, there was absolutely no urgency from anyone. The same could be said for all of the games in this "bad run" since beating United at Brammall Lane, and then some.

Exactly the same happened last year, but Danny was excused as the dross he had to work for the most part wasn't his team. Whose fault is it this year?

I want Danny to have time, but if he can't motivate the talent we've got, someone needs to come in that can. I've no idea who that would be but things have to improve, and the main improvement I want to see is effort from the players, who with few exceptions are badly letting down the club at the moment. Danny needs to do whatever it takes to get them fired up and willing to fight for the fans who pay their wages.
