To be in the form with the team we have now or be in the form with players like Bree,Holgate,Nana and a few academy lads thrown in with full senior players? If we're going to be getting similar results with the youngsters i'd rather have them getting experience?
I hear what you are saying and sort of agree but if the youngsters are thrown in too early and suffer defeats , then they may start to believe they are not good enough and its their fault.. at Walsall the so called faithful chanted "Not fit to wear the shirt"... I bet our academy lads had a great Saturday night after that. But then again "you cannot win anything with kids"... allegedly
Re: I hear what you are saying and sort of agree I then realised that after i pressed 'post' that playing them too much after bad results may just shatter their confidence.
Re: I hear what you are saying and sort of agree The so called faithful who spent their time and money going to Walsall to support the team?
Re: I hear what you are saying and sort of agree Did they? Just wondering how much time they spent Supporting vs Condeming? I wasn't there but seems like quite a bit of the latter
To be fair, Bree was pretty much a regular until injury and if something has been happening recently it seems a strange time to bring it up.
Re: I hear what you are saying and sort of agree To be fair, they had to sit through almost 90 minutes of utter dross. When the players woke up a bit at the very beginning of the second half the fans did get behind them, just as they had at the very beginning of the game. When the players looked like they wanted it, the fans backed them up. As I said in my post after the game, I'm not going to chant against my football club. But I'd challenge anyone to sit through that game on a freezing cold afternoon in Walsall and cheer those players at the end of it.
