We have changed players. We have moved higher and changed managers. We have moved higher and changed directors.

Time to make changes even higher?

Do a poll Andy, go on do one. I know you'll be bang on that the result will be overwhelming.

Without turning this in to a thread about Hill, IMO I don't think sacking Hill improved our long term chances of success, and I thought much of the problems of his tenure were brought about by the lack of support from above.

As for Flitcroft, sacking him certainly didn't improve our short term problems, although I didn't feel he had a clear vision of how to move us forward or even a coherent playing style so had less sympathy. I certainly really liked him though and felt, as always, people wanted him sacked way too quick.

I didn't like Hill, still don't, but never called for his dismissal. If we'd done it before we did I would not have agreed with the decision. I wouldn't have had any sympathy for him like, I thought he was an arsehole, but I don't think it would have been right for the club. Not sure it was when we did it, but I could understand the decision as that Blackburn match was horrendous, Hill's team selection baffling, almost as if it was invitation to be sacked, and it was the culmination of 12 months of watching the team get progressively worse (Birmingham away aside).

Flicker I definitely wouldn't have sacked. We owed him for the previous season. He's mad as a box of frogs, can be unpleasant (or so I've heard) and wasn't doing very well at all, but his sacking didn't save us. As it happens, I prefer the manager we have now, all day long and twice on Sundays, but that doesn't mean I think we should have sacked Flitcroft.

After the euphoria of the great escape the previous season, the calls for Flicker's head began within a few weeks of the new season starting. Mellon got three games before he had to go and within a few weeks of Wilson getting the job the knives were out for him. He got two games this season, with a brand new squad, before his position was questioned. It died down a bit after some good results, but now we've lost 3 in 5, after winning 3 on the bounce then losing a number of key players to injury, people are demanding he's sacked, calling it lunacy to keep him. In what way is any of that rational behaviour?

Maybe input where input isnt needed...

i honestly dont know, just like the rest on here looking for answers, this isnt the danny way.....seems strange that the same mistakes being made each week , keep repeating themselves and danny just doesnt acknowledge them, yet we can all see them.
it wouldnt be the first time nor the last that the son of a owner puts fingers in pies when they are not needed......not saying this is taking place but it would explain....a lot....after all....think the words used were .....a more active role.....

    Fair enough.

In general terms though, employ a manager and coaches and leave them alone imho.
