Plain and simple, far too much emphasis on penny pinching and doing things on the cheap to generate a profit, but it's costing us on the pitch, ether they're ***** at their jobs and can't see the wood for the trees, or they can see exactly what's going on but quite simply do not give a flying **** as long as they keep putting money in the bank. My money's on the latter, they've got it off to a tee, it as to be said, they know they can keep penny pinching and spending as little as possible due to the fact the punters will keep pumping money in no matter what, and they're praying on that loyalty to rob us every year and keep their bank accounts stocked up nicely. What they did in the summer as set us back years, and it's nothing to do with Wilson what so ever, if anyone wants sacking it's Watkins (is he still here ?) and Mansford.
Your aware that the league we are in has rules on funding and we had to change to comply. I suspect, whatever his faults, Mr Cryne gas not got richer due to his involvement with us but gas got considerably poorer.
I'm not on about the funding, I'm on about the way it's spent, we're playing like team of individuals instead of a team, and it all stems from the penny pinching in the summer instead of bringing in the players for the first day of training they waited to save a few quid and sent the youngsters on a training trip to Italy when that should have been the first team, they should have spent the money on bringing the players in at the right time instead of waiting it's cost us in the long run
well he's cooking books then because last two season they've reported a profit, and Mansford and Watkins will be on a fair wedge
Again go back to the rules. We couldn't recruit players until Steele, O'Grady and Kennedy were off the books otherwise we would have failed to meet SCMP rules. We can't just ignore them.
I'd say the person that can't see the wood for the trees is you. You think "they" are putting money in the bank? You really have no idea whatsoever do you.
Re: Utter rubbish Me neither. Personally, I'm not pointing the finger of blame at anyone as I don't believe there is any blame to be had. We decided to build a smallish squad of young, hungry players. If that's the route you're going to take then you've got to be prepared to except some inconsistent performances in the first season. Until a few weeks ago, that's basically what we got. Some great performances and some good wins followed by some naive defending that cost us goals, but even when we lost we played some decent football. Then the injuries began to take their toll and we've lost form completely. If you go for a small, tight-nit squad then that's the risk you take. I'll only start pointing the finger if they abandon the plan formed only six months ago and revert back to having a squad the size of the crowd, filled with journeymen. I like what they decided to do, let's see where it takes us and not give up because we've had a bit of a bad run.
You should be very careful making allegations like that especially when they are so far away from the truth. Not only are you making yourself look ****ing stupid but you could get yourself into serious financial trouble.
So they're doing it for nowt then don't talk ***** getting paid very good money for doing a really poor job
Things are a bit sh!te at the minute, but sometimes looking for someone to blame isn't the answer. I think PC has done a lot for the club. Financial realities & poor management of our recruitment in the past has got us in this situation & it will take a while to get out of it.
Oh sorry, I misunderstood your ramblings. Since you alleged they were only interested in making a profit and that PC was "cooking the books", I thought thats what you were alluding to with your "putting money in the bank" comments. I didn't realise you don't expect us to pay our CEO. I think my comments about you not seeing the wood of the trees stand though.
But you're the one who said it, no one else, putting it down in black & white so to speak. I'm simply suggesting for you to be careful with what you post.
I said it in another thread The only thing the board has done wrong or made a mistake with is saying they expected top 6 they haven't done anything wrong financial we are in a very good place financially unlike a lot of other clubs
