Well if it's a tenner again that is. So far we've had 5,000 home fans in each round. Playing a championship club we might push that to 6,500 home fans. But bare in mind........ 1) Middlesborough will expect to win. 2) They are on an high going for promotion. 3) They have taken massive away followings to alot of grounds this season. 4) Away followings are usually good over the festive and new year period. 5) It's a chance for them to visit a ground outside of their own league. 6) It's not far for them to go. I can see them having to ask for West Stand tickets. Especially if they have a good few weeks results wise in the build up to it. Their forum will be worth keeping an eye on for interest.
They'll sell out. We'll not. They'll expect to win. We won't. They'll field a weakened side. We'll win.
Just seen they are taking 7000 to Blackburn Sunday 28th, that's some going that!! They won't have many at Ipswich this week though, very long trip right before Xmas!! They have Forest at home boxing day! Keep the prices sensible and they will fetch 5000+, why not give them half the west as well if they fill the north!!
All yorkshiremen together singing Yorkshire anthem at pie stall at hayf time."arrrgh much ?,bloody ell"
Who that massive Middlesbro' who averaged 28,000 in their final prem season and then 3 years later they average 16,310? Reyt support
Funny what success does. Watching Jacob there last season was like a trip to the morgue. 14,000 there regularly. They always took decent away followings, mind. They're winning games this season and Gibson's reduced ticket prices for lots of games so no surprise they're getting more fans in.
Get a few wins under our belt before then, get the confidence high, get some players back and you never know. You reds.
Fa cup 3rd round not an attractive game anymore to these "big clubs"' I predict about 3000 of them in a 8000 crowd
Fine. If it means that much to them then let them give us their money, the more the merrier. We've won 4 of the last 5 against them at Oakwell, they'll be under pressure to win, and in any case we'll hopefully be playing better by then.
Team success + lower affordable ticket prices = improved attendances. Its a good combination, but the success aspect is the tough one to achieve.
