    I go by Yorkshire Cricket,

They used to play in Middlesbrough, ergo it is Yorkshire.

According to YCC web site, Marske by the Sea is an "outground", only a couple of miles from Redcar.

It doesn't 'feel' Yorkshire to me.

    Nor does Hull.

Hull is definitely Yorkshire having lived there for a couple of years they were as passionate about Yorkshire as any of us though not as much as Michael Parkinson of course...

I realise that it 'is' Yorkshire.

Games against Hull or Middlesbrough are about as exciting as ones against Brighton or Plymouth in my eyes, though.

    Maybe I'm just getting old!

That can't be reight. Are your sure they're not from Stockton or Darlington? I've lived next door to a 'Boro born and bred fan and he's the most patriotic Yorkshireman I've ever come across. It's on the border but so is Sheffield. In fact bits of Sheffield are in Derbyshire.

    Re: Middleborough is Yorkshire

I've seen many a Yorkshire CCC home game at Acklam Park in Middlesbrough back in the day when you had to have been born in God's Own County to play for us and that's all the proof I need to know Middlesbrough is as much a part of Yorkshire as Wombwell.
