And when we win it's down to inferior opposition.

Players who score & assist in loads of goals are wimps and **** if they don't run around like Billy Ronson and tackle like Alan Little.

I'd love to have seen Alan Little play modern football. When I was 8 that man was a god to me.

Alan Little, my first football hero. Lived on Zion Drive, Staincross, for some reason not happy when two 7 year olds knocked on his door early on Sunday morning for his autograph, still signed though.

I knew a girl that lived on Zion Drive back then. She was very pretty.

    Er, that's it.

I would say that my 7 year old self would be jealous of that but my 40 odd year old self is also jealous. I once wrote an essay at school saying that I either wanted to be Evil Knievel or Alan Little.

Most under rated player we've got alongside Cranie.

Bailey constantly seems to get the blame for been left outnumbered when teams counter attack us because our other midfielders have joined in our attack & not come back

Was her name Sally? If it was, she was in my junior school class. To avoid any doubt I was in the class and not the teacher! If it wasn't her then Zion Drive was the Barnsley equivalent of Coronation Street. Lots of good looking girls in such a small place.

Her name was Kelly. Like you, I knew her from primary school and like you I was a pupil not a teacher.

"Animal" as he was referred to as.... wasn't a bad footballer though...

Would probably be sent off 10 times a season in modern game.

Someone said Bailey made all the difference in midfield. I simply said playing a midfield four made all the difference. Never said Bailey played badly, but he wasn't instrumental in that improved midfield performance, the formation was. We've been crying out for four in midfield for weeks.

Settled as in their positions and the structure rather than the personel, although Hourihane, Berry and Bailey have played together in loads of games this season. The former two having almost played every single game.

Surely you realised I meant that? Or maybe you didn't. Apologies.
