I had a job interview yesterday & got the phone call today to tell me I'd got the job!
I get a company car as part of my package & I've been told that last years choices were Audi A1, Vauxhall Astra or Volvo V40.
Which one would you go for & why?

I have a dislike to company cars,
Before you take one I'd ask if car allowance is available? Also check about personal use of it,

depends on many factors, and can be a bit of a minefield. for me, it just boiled down to the hassle-free motoring. no doubt i'll be getting taxed to the ballons on it, but hey.

That's how I'm looking at it, whatever I get it'll be an upgrade from my 11 year old Peugeot 307!

Also the tax per month you pay is cheaper than the payments on a brand new car.

If you can get the D4 engine in the Volvo that will be the one to choose.

    Low emissions so cheaper tax.

Volvo as a manufacturer quite simply in a different league to anything else out there, including Mercedes. The lower level Audis might as well be a Ford with a premium price tag, but when in the dealership for a service, I've noticed that the interior of even the more basic Volvos compromises very little from the top spec XC60 range. I've had one for 3 and a half years and while it wasn't cheap I've not regretted it for a second.

Congratulations on the new job mate, brilliant news for you just before the new year.

Given the choice I'd go for the Volvo personally.
