flying, expected a hangover from the liverpool game, yes only blacky, but wow! must be every ones most likable team in that division. hope they manage to maintain form until may
Speaking of Bournemouth the place, innit terrible? Zilch atmosphere. Discovered this after visiting with Lady Kaht in September. Found out later that it was apparently only established as a town/resort about 1814 or so. By contrast, Christchurch (close by) has history back to Norman times, and is worth visiting.
Just goes to show what a wee bit of financial investment can do to a club. Good luck to them and I hope they enjoy the journey.
Some clubs need to, they just don't learn any lessons at all. Sadly its usually the 'workers' who end up losing their jobs and livelihoods when it all goes wrong.
Why? Not that it makes any difference to me but there are a few more clubs I'd wish that upon before Bournemouth.
Bournemouth are just another numpty club whose status has been far inflated due to donated/borrowed money.
OK Baka but is this money which is being donated/borrowed legal? If it is then where is the problem. But if it is coming from dubious sources then I would agree about them going bust.
I wouldn't go that far but I can't enjoy "small" clubs like them doing well when it's largely down to being bankrolled. They've a good manager in Howe who's set them up to a tee but they've made losses into 8 figures the last two years to get to where they are and will suffer for it at some point. Likewise, if the money from their owner dries up then they've had it. Their attendances are smaller even than ours and this is the most successful period in their history.
OK Jamo How about this scenario. An ex pat originally from Barnsley who just happens to be a billionaire living in America decides he'd like to invest heavily into BFC. Bankrolling them to the tune of 50 million. Would you still hold the same view of not enjoying " small" clubs being bankrolled? BTW this is actually happening here. Motherwell are being bought over by an ex pat from Motherwell. A billionaire from America. And I say good luck to them. Hope it all works out for them.
Fancied Bournemouth and Middlesbrough to be the dark horses this year, didn't expect either going on to win the league though. I reckon they'll hold out, got a very good young manager in charge.
Not be long will it before Bournemouth are doing the debt for equity swap that Leicester did, will it? two years of losses in eight figures, which makes it all the more sickening that they shut Hereford down for unpaid debt of 144k.
Not a big fan of Bournemouth 1 bit....another club being toyed with by Monopoly money!! Maybe I'm bitter but when your own club tastes success purely through doing it the right way then it's far better than success being bought! Is it not??
