If I was a fan of Hartlepool I'd take whoever I could get if it meant not being relegated to the Conference. Of course there would be no guarantee he'd score goals, then they'd have a convicted rapist on their hands AND be facing dropping out the league. Tough times for them.
I wouldnt - I'd rather play in the Conference than have to watch an unrepentant rapist every week And as you say its no guarantee either
Exactly. If he showed remorse and admited his past mistake he'd be back in football like Lee Hughes and Luke McCormick did.
Apparently the difference between McCormack and Hughes as opposed to the rapist is that they did not Intentionally set out to commit their deeds (personally I think differently especially McCormack but thats by the by) and secondly the remorse issue and the trauma of court proceedures on the victims
