Who would we get as a replacement? I'd go with Williams, i know hes injured and out for a month or two but he's the only person i can think of getting. Maybe use some of it to keep Cole permanently?
We've got Berry and Bree who I think would both thrive there. It is their natural position afterall. Not that I can see Hourihane leaving. I don't think we'll sell to anyone in our division and I don't think we've too many players who I could confidently say would improve aby championship team, other than Blackpool, I can name about 23 Barnsley players who'd improve the Blackpool team. Danny Wilson could walk into their starting 11 now.
I also think we'll not sell him or any first teamer, just thinking ahead if he does leave. we should asking for about 3-4-5 million for him. 12 goals & 9 assists is it? Surely worth more than one million
I'd forget about Williams. For someone injured, who hardly played for us, played no better than alright and didn't score he's spoke about far too much. No chance of getting Cole permanent. If he went for big money we could maybe put Berry there and whenever Bree is back (no idea) he can go to the current Berry position.
Number 6 from the Man Utd reserves friendly in the summer him with the same hair as the young un out of outnumbered sat deep spraying the ball about like a young Paul Scholes then once he'd played the ball took up a advanced position like a tackle/interception too
They were brilliant and most of them will be playing at full level in years to come. I said at the time i'd take any of there midfielders on loan.
Kid who scored when to Leicester for a million quid he's on loan at Rotherham now scored last week for them
Personally, I do not think anyone will come in for him. He is certainly not a Championship player yet.
More importantly, he's well under contract. Had he been out of contract in the summer, I think there would have been a queue for him. But we're in a position to get a good fee for him knowing he'll still be here this time next year if we can't.
I liked Williams, but for a lad who laiked a handful of games and wasn't that good I'm surprised he's referred to so much. But I suppose it says a lot about us in the last few years that once we see a positive, technically gifted laiker we get excited. But no, I was referring to Hourihane, the best player in the division.
Williams offered us movement when he came into the side and kept opponents busy giving more freedom to other players to shine. His passing was a bit hit and miss but still he was a player that made things happen and was always looking to advance. He did for me and I hope in the future we get him back YT.
Ask bossman about Williams. I agree with you on his qualities and I'd sign him in a shot. But as I say, message bossman.
