Get bent. You on a Christmas wind up? I'm not buying this one ...... Good player, but loads of fans love him. There's nearly 10,000 at Oakwell, and only 50 regularly post on here. He's good, I like him, but he's far from the best in the division. Decision making isn't good enough YET, and his work defensively often causes us as many problems as his attacking work creates. He'll get there, but way off yet.
With the amount of attacking work he puts in, if he put in as much defensive work as some on here clearly want he wouldn't be able to play every game like he has done. If Treacy was fit enough to be in the team I reckon Berry would play in the middle and Hourihane would play just off the striker. He is the best player at this club, without his goals and assists I dread to think where we'd be in the table.
This is Davies's chance to show he can find the back of the net, Turnbull has really let us down in that regard.
Completely agree. Especially as I saw a stat the other day that said he's in the penalty box for 95% of the game. If he can't stick a few away then he's a joke.
We've scored 32 league goals. 21 of them were scored or directly created by Hourihane. There's at least another 3 he was heavily involved in. I've seen him make tackles, I've seen him clear off the line. He's played every minute of every game. Even in the games where he's been quiet, he's often done something noteworthy. He might not be the best in the division, but he'll be in the team of the season at this rate. In fact, at this rate, he'll score over 20 goals and create over 20 too. Yes it's L1, but he can only perform for the club who employs him. To suggest he's not ready yet for anything bigger, or as you say, he's 'way off' I feel is doing him a massive disservice. For an attack minded midfielder, he's excelling in my opinion and I love watching him play for my club. I have no will to dissect his defensive contributions, just as I don't have the will to criticise Martin Cranie for his lack of goals and assists. Merry Xmas, Ben(t).
I actually fell for my missus with no prior knowledge as to who she was related to. Bit of a shock when I did find out. Not as shocking as it was for others when they met me, mind.
news to me till you just said. you know me though. quiet lad, keep me head down and don't ask questions. good on ya pal
I'm no expert on league one as I've barely paid any attention to it outside of watching the play offs over the last 8 years since barnsley were last in it but from what I've seen this season Alli at MK Dons is the best in the league. The lads already looking outstanding at just 18, can see him in the premiership very soon
