Shafted beyond belief mate, speaks volumes when I was half wondering if Redfearn would still be in a job this morning after they got done by Wigan yesterday
At least he had the good sense to negotiate to keep his academy position when the inevitable happens. I hope for his sake that agreement is honoured but I wouldn't be surprised if whoever does the dirty deed for Cellino goes back on the assurances he was apparently given.
I think I'm one of the few people who actually like Neil Warnock. A proper old school football man. He's routinely struggled at the top level though, so it's probably no surprise. He'll get a nice little pay off, and will be back at another top Championship club soon enough
Do you think Warnock should be given time to build his own team and plan for the long term like Wilson?
Poor decision ... I'll have a tenner on them going down now ... along with Leicester & Burnley. Pulis walked, as he knew the squad wasn't strong enough & Warnock will have boosted his pension. Be surprised if he takes another job now.
I seriously don't get you HR I really don't. Love the fact that there's different opinions on ere its what it's all about, they're like ar5eholes are opinions as we all know, we've all got one.
40 years supporter, I think my point is as valid as any. It's just been awful this time around, points, performances. How long do you carry on? If it's the same in 12 months then what?
Obviously valid. No one is claiming otherwise. Just disagreeing If we haven't improved this time next season then questions have to be asked but let's see how we do. And including last season in judgement is bonkers if you ask me.
I've no idea what the plans are at Palace. At Barnsley though that is exactly what the intention is, it's no time for bailing out on that plan just to install another manager on a long term plan, and sack him after a year too.
I wouldn't have stuck with Flicker neither would I have appointed Wilson based on his previous relationship with the club. I would have preferred strong management rather than to appease the supporters.
Was there really a better candidate available when the disastrous experiment with the Rochdale clowns had ended?
Im neither pro/anti DW. It's more the model that I hope is in place and will hopefully see the 3 years or more through. I'd be saying the same if we'd have appointed ODriscoll, Butcher etc who've been targets in recent years. As for 'the previous relationship'...... really?!? You prefer to remember him leaving us than the previous 4-5 years that saw him mastermind the clubs most successful ever period?!? Each to their own. As for strong manager. Getting rid of older experienced players who were ere for the ride, Perkins, McNumpty, Wisey, Daws and not to mention Bobby etc. It would have been easier to keep them and pinch a wage. Instead he's recruited a 'type' of player he feels he can work with mid-long term. He's taken the harder option IMHO Edit - not that Bobby was pinching a wage. Badly worded sentence. If DW was appeasing the fans he'd have kept Bob. That was mi point.
