Also is it the whisky or are there two twelfth placed teams and are the fourteenth placed team above one of the teams in twelfth.
Soton had to start again. They recruited from the lower leagues, and promoted from their academy. From that season of 2009 in L1, they've had Pardew, Adkins, Pochettino and now Koeman. The sales of Walcott, Bale, The Ox etc, early on, helped them to invest in other areas. They've since recruited plenty on the cheap, and sold them on for daft money. The likes of Lallana and Lovren spring to mind. They don't have a huge fanbase. Unfashionable club. It can be done.
They made £94m this summer alone in incoming transfer fees. Pretty sure they got decent money for Bale, The Ox, Walcott etc in the last few years too.
So what you're saying is.. Hourihane is the next Lallana, Bree is the next Bale? and Crainie is the next Fonte?
Am I chuff. What I'm saying is, who would have thought Soton would have got so far in such a short space of time? In other words, if they can do it, so can we. Will we? I don't know. Probably not. But isn't that the 'dream'? Night, *******.
With add ons going to Soton for Walcott and Ox since both have played for England, so many Arsenal games etc. Fair do's, they sold their clause in Bale otherwise they'd have been laughing. Tommy Forecast. Look it up. Hilarious. I'm not here to argue their net spend etc. I just find their rapid rise impressive. And if I was arguing their net spend, or income, I'd say that since 2009 and building again from the ground up in L1, they've made a huge profit since. Huge.
And how much for three years in the Premier League? Not a bad ascent, is it? But aye. We could always aspire to be Man City/Leicester and find a rich arab/asian.
that sucks pal. i'm back on 5th jan. just thought i'd leave that with you. i'm also currently drinking. sithi..
