Yes it was against Birmingham in Feb 2010. There were similar comments then about the club not switching on the heating and as you say the conditions were a lot better than today and the last few days. Their were also criticisms then on the last minute decision to postpone the game. Something the club have tried to remedy this time. As you suggest, I don't think our heating system is as good as some other clubs have. Last time it was areas of the pitch that were in shade that were deemed dangerous. At the time Don Rowing told us the underfloor heating cost £42 an hour and was much, much cheaper than having to postpone a game.
Somebody, anybody. Have we got any one legged lesbian Muslims posting on here? I'll be offended for them.
I shouldn't have used the word knobhead, but I didn't direct it at any one individual. But I stand by my sanctimonious drivel. Hope your legs better, pal.
I didn't take any offence (I never do) but then again I haven't been ranting about how **** the club and its senior employees are. The leg is getting better all the time mate and keeping it warm and rested tonight won't do it any harm either.
Disappointed the match is postponed, was looking forward to it, but... Just been in to town. Walked up New Street, over the crossing on the relief road and down towards the roundabout atop Harborough Hills. I park by the tax offices because it's free and I'm a cheap b'stard. ******* lethal. I was on me knees, me arse, me face. I made Bambi look like a sure footed mountain goat. Maybe wearing me stilettos wasn't the best idea, but still, it was treacherous. Glad it's called off now as someone would no doubt break their neck, and with a couple of pints in me, I think that someone would be me. Happy to be spending the evening in front of the fire.
Can you pi55 off and talk common sense on another board, this one is for winghing tw@ts who want to slag the club off at every opputunity
I'm going to guess that the game was a 3pm kick off? A lot more dangerous due to the dark & potential to drop colder in a night game
I am sure a lot of us remember the trip to Liverpool in the 1980s (?) through the fog, snow and ice..... and that was on the motorway. 12000 eventually arrived there, some to see only a few minutes of the game. I just wonder what reaction there might have been if the game had been called off at the last minute due to "outside circumstances" with about 10000 still in their buses and cars miles away from Anfield. We used to take things in our stride in those days.
