Gotta disagree fella. Wells did his lower league grounding and scored a lot of goals in a L2L1 team. He was outstanding. Deserved the step up cos of his performances over a far longer period. I don't think DC's anywhere near that IMHO. Good lad. Talent, but miles off a consistent CC player.

A victim of the formation in my opinion. We played two up top and he played well, played one up front and one on each corner flag and he lookedncrap at times and disinterested, forced to play him in the middle with another striker and he looked great again.

For cole see hemmings and for hemmings see trotta

Don't think I have 'slated' him have I? I've said I'd prefer others to start ahead of him. I base that on his 18 appearances for us (containing two goals from a yard out), not a solitary display at PNE where I'm told he missed the target when well placed. He's quite possibly one of our highest earners (used loosely) and a notable goalscorer at this level and above. I've seen nothing in him that would have me believe he's any better than the likes of Dagnall, Harewood or Scotland, lads we moved on because they weren't good enough. I assume Danny - having managed him before - thought he could get the best out of him. He still might. But it's clear to me we're not likely to do much this season and so in order to plan for next season and beyond I'd rather we gave younger lads a chance up top.

Kane Hemmings hasn't been a revelation. He's got more goals than Lita though, despite less starts and playing often out of position. He's also 7 years younger and making a massive step up in quality. Hemmings over Lita every day of the week.

I'd be moving both Lita and Treacy on this month if possible. Wasters.

I agree. I think his dad/agent have decided against him staying here cos of us playing him out wide. Could be wrong like but his body language last few games when we had him on the wing told me that he would be on his way first chance he got

Kind of agree with the gist of that. But I see Wells quite a bit, obviously, and trust me mate he's got nothing more in his locker than DC. Not saying Cole is Champ standard, he's certainly not consistent. But I can see Champ clubs fancying him as an impact player at the least. Pace is such an asset at any level. Couple that with some of his technical stuff and you've a real talent there. Raw, green, but worth a punt. I'll be surprised if he's not at a Champ club soon.

Played wide left/right all his career at City in the academy.

That may be the case Whitey but he's looked a far better player for us up top, in fact he looked lost out wide which is baffling if that is his proper position!

You called him a 'busted flush'. That's most definitely slating him.

His best game for us in my opinion was at rochdale where he played on the wing.

All about opinions mate. I've missed one game all season and I've seen him play much better up front (alongside Winnall) but we all see games differently. I just thought he didn't look happy out wide over the last month or so. Will be interesting to see where he plays if he gets another loan move elsewhere

I think he missed Winnall a lot (who hasn't!) and he seemed a bit jaded in recent weeks. Personally I'd have played him as a striker in home games and on the wing in away games but Winnall's injury put pay to that as he's the only striker we've got who's capable of leading the line on his own.

I always thought Cole's biggest problem was a mental one. He has all the attributes to be a class act at this level, but when Winnall got injured and the responsibility fell on Cole's shoulders to lead the line on his own he didn't handle it very well and didn't look the same player.

He will learn a lot from his time at BFC and we befitted from his work rate/goals/pace while he was here. The way the loan system should work.

I don't know if Hemmings will ever make the grade, he looks miles off it

His best display was against Rochdale, he played out wide.

    It's really not.

He's a player I was against us signing at the time, he's done nowt to prove me wrong. I don't think he's improved since joining us, he hasn't scored since August. I'd suggest he's a busted flush, as in he's had his day.

That's an honest opinion. Slating him? No.

I'm not seeing the negatives then. I keep reading/hearing folk writing him off, but I honestly don't think he's been that bad for us. He's not had that many opportunities to be fair, but in flashes he's shown enough to me to consider him useful and worth sticking with. He's only 22. Thought he was brilliant the other week against both Chester and Orient. I reckon he'd also benefit from a sustained run of games up front.

If he's **** and fails, we've not really lost much have we? Can't say the same for Lita who I expect is pulling in a fair old wedge and has the demeanour of someone who thinks he's above all this.

    Opinions eh?

It being an honest opinion doesn't mean it's not also slating him. I'll grant you that a lot worse has been said about people on here but I'd still class that as slating him.

He's a lot better than you're giving him credit for. It's also very unfair to judge him when you didn't see the best and most recent game he's played for us. He ran his heart out against Preston in a similar way to what Marlon Harewood did for us under Flicker. Harewood couldn't hit a barn door for us but he was still a useful player. I think given time the goals will come from Lita.

He was the best player we had on the pitch at Preston.

By a long way as well. He was the brightest, sharpest and most commited player we had on the field. He held the ball up well and tried to bring a poor midfield into play. Hoping he starts again tomorrow.
